I'm impressed by your great website and I'm learning now for the first time about real Islam, but I wish that you would make videos on a YouTube channel and to get more involved within the social media and Pal talk Scene … Why do not rich Quranists donate money to make a Quranist satellite channel to save more souls by undeceiving people? … Thank you …

Aaron's Sister
Published in June 6, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … Is Mary, mother of Jesus, is the sister of Aaron and Moses? Is this implied in this verse: "O sister of Aaron, your father was not an evil man, and your mother was not a whore."" (19:28)? … Thank you …
Answer:
No she is not; the expression in 19:28 refers to form of rebuke, because the Israelites use to prefer Aaron to Moses; there are many centuries between Jesus and Moses; please read more within our archive of fatwas, articles, and books.

Sufi Orders in Egypt
Published in June 6, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … I tend to think that Sufi orders in Egypt such ...... are mere façades to spread the Shiite religion in Egypt … What do you think? … Thank you for your great book on the Shiite spy-cum-saint Sayed Al-Badawi …
Answer:
We think that what you say pertains to history of the Middle Ages; all Sufi orders now in Egypt now are no longer affiliated with politics or the Shiite religion. Sufi orders multiplied all over Egyptian cities and villages in the Mameluke and Ottoman eras. It was in the Middle-Ages period that some Shiite spies were disguised as Sufi sheikhs/saints (Al-Badawi, Al-Disouky, Al-Shazily, etc.) to hide their political agendas to regain Egypt to the Fatimids, but their endeavors failed miserably.

Thunderbolt for Arabs
Published in June 4, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … Does this verse: "But if they turn away, say, "I have warned you of a thunderbolt..." (41:13) imply that this occurred to Arabs during Muhammad's lifetime? … Thank you …
Answer:
This warning did not occur; as Arabs converted to Islam in terms of overt peaceful behavior as per the Quranic Chapter 110 and stopped fighting and persecuting early believers.

The Qatar Crisis
Published in June 7, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … What is your personal vision of the struggle between Qatar and the KSA? … Thank you …
Answer:
These events make us ponder deeply on these Quranic verses: "Have you not seen those who exchanged the blessing of God with disbelief, and landed their people into the house of perdition? Hell-they will roast in it. What a miserable settlement. And they set up equals to God, in order to lead away from His path. Say, "Enjoy yourselves; your destination is the Fire."" (14:28-30); "When We decide to destroy a town, We command its affluent ones, but they transgress in it, so the word becomes justified against it, and We destroy it completely. How many generations have We destroyed after Noah? Your Lord is sufficient as Knower and Beholder of the sins of his servants." (17:16-17). Please reflect on these verses deeply and link them to political events of today.

Comments with Verbal Abuse
Published in June 7, 2017
Question: … Dear Dr. Mansour, … I'm Ibrahim Ahmad … I've noticed that there are so many comments with verbal abuse against your person under your YouTube videos; why do not you remove such comments? Such negative comments are written by Sunnites who cannot refute you and some extremist atheists and Christians who hate Islam and your defending it; these comments include ridicule of the Quran and God … Please remove such comments if you can … Thank you …
Answer:
The director of our videos and the one to upload them within our YouTube channel is our eldest son, Muhammad Mansour. We personally pardon those who verbally abuse us in such comments and we do not care to remove such comments under the videos; but as we read many of them that ridicule and mock God and the Quran, we have asked our eldest son to remove such comments. We, Quranists, never impose our opinion on anyone; we declare our views in peace and that is it; we respect the right of every person to accept or to refuse our views, and yet, haters of Quranism never let us be, as they are eager to verbally abuse us. They have countless sites within the cyberspace and yet they hate that Quranists have one website and one YouTube channel. Our views infuriate them because they cannot refute us and cannot show their rejection of the Quran so openly, though our foes the Muhammadans control most of the media and mosques, with countless satellite channels, websites, imams, preachers, etc. Yet, the Quranic Truth we preach cannot be refuted or confronted by them intellectually; this drives them to verbally abuse us. This indicates that intellectually, we are stronger than they are, despite our modest financial means and their huge Wahabi sources of funding. Our Quranism shake their castles of myths so violently and unsettle their positions; the Quranic Truth debunks their falsehoods and fabrications, though Quranists are generally impecunious people, but they are steadfast monotheists, with the Grace of our Lord God. This steadfastness infuriates Wahabi Sunnites and other haters of Quranism.

An Ignoramus
Published in June 4, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … I'm a new Quranist … The known Wahabi preacher named... insists that the verse 8:36 refers to the Meccan polytheist Abou Sufyan who spent money to finance military troops who fought Muslims of Yathreb, and yet, this historical figure is known to have converted to Islam; this means that the preacher is wrong … What do you think? … Thank you …
Answer:
God says in the Quran: "Those who disbelieve spend their wealth to repel from God's path. They will spend it, then it will become a source of sorrow for them, and then they will be defeated. Those who disbelieve will be herded into Hell." (8:36). This Wahabi preacher is an ignoramus who knows nothing about the Quran and who vomits what is written in books of myths of his Sunnite forefathers, the falsehoods blindly followed by millions through many generations. This verse is in the present tense; this means that it is a general rule that applies in all eras until the end of days. This verse applies in our era to the KSA and the Gulf monarchies in particular which spend $ billions to repel people away from the Quran (and Quranism) and to spread and impose Wahabism. This verse will apply to others who will commit the same sin after the destruction of the KSA and other Gulf monarchies.

Voiceless Supplication
Published in June 2, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … Is it OK to supplicate to the Lord within my heart, without uttering any words? … Should one raise one's hands during prayers and supplications? … Thank you …
Answer:
During supplication to God, one is to do it with low voice in piety and reverence, or silently if you like, within the fear of God and hoping for His mercy while imploring Him in devotion and devoutness. Raising your hands meanwhile is not necessary. What is a sin indeed is to raise one's voice and turning supplication into a song; this violates the reverence and sanctity due to Almighty God.

Repeated Verses about Fasting
Published in June 2, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … Why do we find repetitions about Ramadan and fasting in 2:184-185 … Thank you …
Answer:
God says in the Quran: "O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous. For a specified number of days. But whoever among you is sick, or on a journey, then a number of other days. For those who are hardly able to fast: a ransom of feeding a needy person. But whoever volunteers goodness, it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew. Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was revealed. Guidance for humanity, and clear portents of guidance, and the Criterion. Whoever of you witnesses the month, shall fast it. But whoever is sick, or on a journey, then a number of other days. God desires ease for you, and does not desire hardship for you, that you may complete the number, and celebrate God for having guided you, so that you may be thankful." (2:183-185). This means that in 2:183, God allows the ill and the travelers to fast other days after Ramadan instead of the ones in which they had to eat during Ramadan, or to donate money/food for charity if their heath does not permit them the fast, while asserting that fasting is better for them and that increasing charity donations is a sing of piety, whereas in 2:185, the same legislation is repeated while asserting that Islam is based on ease and facilitation.

A Specified Number of Days
Published in June 1, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … In the verse 2:184, the fasting is said to be for a specified number of days; does this mean that they are less than the 30 days of Ramadan? … Thank you …
Answer:
No; this phrase refers to the whole lunar month of Ramadan as its days are specified in the lunar calendar as 29 or 30 days counted as per the moon phases. God says in the Quran: "For a specified number of days. Whoever of you witnesses the month, shall fast it..." (2:184-185). Please read our book on fasting.

Question: … Dear Sir, … I cannot fast in these hot days except by sleeping most of the day and staying up all night; is that OK? Can working hard at one's workplace be an excuse for not fasting, while paying money instead? … Thank you …
Answer:
God says in the Quran: "...For those who are hardly able to fast: a ransom of feeding a needy person. But whoever volunteers goodness, it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew." (2:184); for further detail, we refer you to our book on fasting.

Fasting in Shabaan
Published in May 28, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … Is it OK to fast the 15th day of the lunar Hijri month of Shabaan? Or this might be a sin to imitate Sunnites who do this? … Thank you …
Answer:
It is OK to fast any days of the year within piety and seeking to gratify God. Do not focus too much on what Sunnites do or say.

Fasting without Piety
Published in May 28, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … Why Muslims of today are keen on fasting during Ramadan more than adhering to values like transparency, truthfulness, honesty, generosity, charity, justice, etc. … What do you think? … Thank you …
Answer:
The Muhammadans consider acts of worship as goals in themselves, and after performing them, they hypocritically allow themselves to cheat, lie, commit violence and injustices, get ill-gotten money, etc. Quranists adhere to the Quranic notion that all acts of worship in Islam are means/tools to attain piety; we refer you to many of our articles on that topic.

The Call for Prayers
Published in May 24, 2017
Question: … Dear Sir, … What is your own opinion about Azan (the call for prayers) being uttered through loudspeakers and microphones in mosques? … Thank you …
Answer:
We think that this is wrong; Azan must be uttered in one's normal level of voice without loudspeakers and microphones: "When you call to the prayer, they take it as a joke and a play. That is because they are people who do not reason." (5:58). Indeed, loudspeakers and microphones are annoying inventions of our modern times, and other inventions can replace them; people now know timings of daily prayers through the internet and the cellular phones.
