The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) helps governments and institutions use technology to expand the scope, scale and quality of learning. Headquartered in Vancouver, COL promotes policies to make innovation sustainable and works with international partners to build systems and applications that facilitate learning in support of development goals. It is financed by voluntary contributions from Commonwealth governments.
The Position:
Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience of working in open distance and technology-mediated learning including five years of related international work experience. The position requires proficiency with office technology, ability to train others in the use of media and a readiness to travel internationally.
COL is seeking an Education Specialist to manage and coordinate a portfolio of work in the educational use of mass media for health, welfare and community development. Extensive hands-on experience with the use of video and radio to achieve development impacts in health and community development is essential.
This 3-year initial appointment is renewable for a further term by mutual agreement.
