Divorce and Custody

Published in September 20, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … A European woman of Arab origin (but she cannot write in Arabic) has two children and she demanded and got divorced after ten years of marriage with an Arab man from her native country; the reason for divorce is that she was unveiled (i.e. she did not wear the hijab) and her husband used to criticize her style of clothes and checked all the time if she performed prayers, etc. After the divorce, her ex-husband is threatening her by taking custody of the two children as he cannot trust her as she is not as 'religious' as he is, and he said if she would not return to him as husband and wife and if she gets married to another man, he would have the custody of the children and return with them to his native country forever … Is this possible as per Quranic sharia law or not? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

There is nothing called veil/hijab in Islam; the Quran does NOT require women to cover their hair/heads, hands, necks, or feet; it requires covering their chests and legs; even in case a Muslim woman would wear revealing clothes (showing the cleavage and bare legs; e.g., when wearing swimming suits or soirée clothes), this is a small sin or mistake and God will forgive small sins and mistakes/mishaps when one avoids grave sins such as adultery/fornication, disbelief, and murder. As for the children, within Islam, the mother has to right to keep their custody until they reach puberty and her ex-husband is required to spend money on his children and to give his ex-wife her legal financial dues after the divorce; this is part of her rights. Of course, she and he must abide by laws of their European country. She can later on marry any peaceful man regardless of his religious affiliation or even lack of any faith: (a Jew, a Christian, an atheist, a Buddhist, a Sunnite, a Shiite, etc.).

After the Quranic Chapter One in Prayers

Published in September 21, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, …  What are the verses that should be read after the Quranic Chapter One during the five daily prayers? And in which Raqas? The first two only or in all Raqas?  … Thank you …

Answer:

Those pious ones who really concentrate within prayers in the fear of their Lord God should read in all Raqas after the Quranic Chapter one any verses that contain supplication to the Lord God and His praise; you can read verses that increase our piety and fear of the Lord God inside your heart; if you lose your concentration at any moment, re-read the Quranic Chapter One again; may the Lord God make you and our person among the pious ones who concentrate within piety and fear of the Lord God during the daily prayers.

A Summary Is Needed

Published in September 21, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Pardon me, but the daunting task of having to read your entire archive of writings is very intimidating; I cannot read your long articles and too long books; I do not have time and I cannot concentrate; I've only watched your great YouTube videos within the past two months; it has been an amazing discovery for me; I know quite well that Quranism is the Only True Islam; I cannot request from you to write shorter articles, but I'd like you to tell me a summary of what real Islam is; I mean in one paragraph: what is Quranism/monotheism exactly? … Thank you …

Answer:

In sum, you have to bear in mind that Islam is the Quran only; the Quran has no human author; it is God's Word. Good and bad words and deeds of 'Muslims' (after the death of Muhammad and after the completion of the descent/revelation of the Quran) are ascribed to them and not to the Quran/Islam; God will judge their words and deeds on the Last Day. The deeds, stances, and words of the contemporaries of Muhammad after his death (i.e., Arab conquests, civil wars, and caliphate) have nothing to do with Islam; they have to do with political ambitions and the worship of Mammon (i.e., money). Hence, books of fiqh and hadiths/narratives have nothing to do with Islam; the polytheistic Shiite, Sufi, and Sunnite religions have nothing to do with the Quran; Quranists/monotheists never deify items/things/relics or mausoleums and never deify Muhammad or any other mortals (prophets and non-prophets) and never mention the names of Ali and Muhammad in the testimony of monotheism: (There is no God but Allah). Of course, likewise, the Arab civilization and its positive contributions to humanity (through Arab scientists) are not ascribed to Islam or to any other religion. On the Day of Judgment, God will judge all humanity, including prophets/messengers; thus, Muhammad and his household members and companions, and other prophets etc. will be judged; they will not judge people; there is no clergymen or 'saints' at all within True Islam. Judgment in the Hereafter is based on the Quran and on the Book of Deeds of each human being. The vast majority of 'Muslims' since the era of the sinner Abou Bakr until this very moment never esteemed God as He should be esteemed. May God guide you and our person to His Straight Path of righteousness.

About Torment in Barsakh

Published in September 22, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, …  I disapprove of your idea (which I heard in one of your YouTube videos) that Hell and Paradise have not been created yet; if so, how come that you say that the drowned people of Noah and the drowned Moses' Pharaoh and his people are being tormented in Barsakh? How come, then, that those killed for God's sake enjoy Paradise in Barsakh? … Thank you …

Answer:

Within our videos, we talk briefly about several topics; the details are found in our books and articles which you have not read yet. We refer you to the links of our books in English that will answer your questions:

Prophet Vs. Messenger

Published in September 22, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … In one of your videos, you have mentioned that Muhammad had no right to issue legislations outside the Quran; yet, God says in the Quran: "Fight those who do not believe in God, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid what God and His Messenger have forbidden..." (9:29); thus, what is the difference between Muhammad as a messenger and Muhammad as a prophet? … Thank you …

Answer:

The Messenger in 9:29 is the Quran itself and not Muhammad; as for the difference between the Quranic terms "messenger" and "prophet", it is explained in our book, in English, on this link:

You Are More than Welcome

Published in September 22, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I'm and Egyptian 40-year-old man who lives in Europe; I came across your great YouTube Videos few weeks ago; I spend hours watching them now; I feel very happy to get to know what True Islam is. I desire to be a Quranist Muslim like you; yet, I balk at the daunting task of reading your archive; I do not know what to read first: books, articles, or fatwas? Which book(s) should be read first by novices and newcomers like myself? How should I start reading your great writings? Could you arrange them for me? I appreciate your efforts and your raising awareness of people about Quranism as the Only True Islam … Thank you in advance …

Answer:

You are more than welcome to our website; may the Lord God unite all Quranists in Paradise; we advise you to read first our book, in English, titled "The Quran: Sufficient as a Source of Islamic Legislation" (http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=92), and then the book about Isnad. This should be followed by these books (in English) in that order: "The Penalty of Apostasy" (http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=91), "How to Understand the Holy Quran" (http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=121), and "The Unspoken-of History of the Pre-Umayyad 'Righteous' Caliphs" (http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=83). You can later on read the fatwas section and then the rest of books and articles in any order you prefer. May God bless and guide you.

About the Verse 8:12

Published in September 23, 2018

Question:  … Dear Sir, … God says in the Quran: "...So strike above the necks, and strike off every fingertip of theirs." (8:12); I know you have mentioned that this comes in the context of self-defense fighting; yet, I tend to think that this incites violence of ISIS and other terrorists as well who misinterpret and misunderstand the Quran and they behead innocent people! Shooting is better than cutting heads off and beheading, right? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

Of course, the verse 8:12 and the ones containing a similar meaning refer only to the case of self-defense against military aggressors who are bent to kill and murder. Self-defense is part of human rights, you know. The verse 8:12 contains what is  more merciful and swifter than shooting, by the way, with the least amount of pain. Of course, no one must allow putting innocent ones to death and would ascribe such a heinous crime to Islam; ISIS and other Wahabi Sunnite terrorists have nothing to do with Islam; we refer you to our book, in English, titled "The Cursed Religion of ISIS", found on this link:

About Human Bodies and Corpses

Published in September 23, 2018

Question:  … Dear Sir, …  Why the Quran uses the term (Saw'a); i.e., source of shame and filth, to describe the living human body (e.g.,, in 20:121) and corpses (e.g., in 5:31)? I tend to think that the human body is beautiful, graceful, and fascinating in its creation … What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

In fact, even the living human beings are moving corpses; the human body is a (Saw'a) because one has to defecate, urinate, and perspire and because sexual organs are used for defecation and urination; another reason is the fact that human bodies get filthy and unclean and they are in constant need for being washed with water (i.e., by showering, taking a bath, ablution, etc.). When one wakes up, one at least needs to wash one's face and mouth; this body or Saw'a after death will decompose and its nauseating odor and unsightly appearance will harm people; it must get buried so as not to harm living people. Sadly, heedless people use their youthful bodies in sinning and they forget that they will get old and die after getting wrinkles and experiencing senility ad weakness; sadly, most people take great care about cleaning their bodies but never care about purifying and cleansing their souls within piety, morals, and good deeds while seeking to please the Lord God within monotheism. Of course, Islam entails believers to be clean and pure in terms of both body and soul.

Witnesses against Their People

Published in September 24, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Would the witnesses on the Last Day against their people (apart from God's prophets/messengers) comprise all monotheists in general or only those who specialize in the Quranic knowledge and preach the Quranic Truth? … Thank you …

Answer:

They are the preachers of the Truth who follow the footsteps of prophets/messengers of the Lord God by warning their contemporaries and reminding them of monotheism of (There is no God but Allah) and of rejecting the deification of things/items/tombs and mortals. Of course, these witnesses have suffered types of persecution and some of them have been murdered. Their jihad or striving for the Truth and their being persecuted for preaching the Truth will make them earn the right to be gathered along with prophets on the Last Day as witnesses; God says the following tin the Quran: "And the earth will shine with the Light of its Lord; and the Book will be put in place; and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought in; and Judgment will be passed among them equitably, and they will not be wronged. And every soul will be fully compensated for what it had done. He is well aware of what they do." (39:69-70).

About Death

Published in September 24, 2018

Question: …  Dear Sir, … You have said in your videos and fatwas that angels write deeds/words of people as per God's commands; does this apply to the angels of death who take the soul of dying persons; are they doing this only as per God's command? … Thank you …

Answer:

Yes, of course; the commands about death are ascribed, in the Quranic text, sometimes to the Lord God and in some other cases to angels: "God created you; then He takes you away. Some of you will be brought back to the worst age, so that he will no longer know anything, after having acquired knowledge. God is Omniscient and Omnipotent." (16:70); "God takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that have not died during their sleep. He retains those for which He has decreed death, and He releases the others until a predetermined time. In that are signs for people who reflect." (39:42); "How about when the angels take them at death, beating their faces and their bottoms?" (47:27); "While the angels are taking the souls of those who have wronged themselves..." (4:97); "Those who are in a wholesome state when the angels take them - will say, "Peace be upon you; enter Paradise, for what you used to do."" (16:32); "Say, "The angel of death put in charge of you will reclaim you. Then to your Lord you will be returned."" (32:11).

About Inheritance, Testament, and Responsibility

Published in September 25, 2018

Question: …  Dear Sir, … I've read your book about inheritance; I will never dare to question inheritance laws within the Quran; yet, you mention in your book that the male receive the equivalent of shares of two females because men bear more responsibilities and care financially for other women in their lives and pay dowries, etc. What about women who assume responsibility for their families? Many working women spend money on their jobless husbands; how can equality of the sexes be applied then? Justice and equality are the purpose of the Quranic sharia legislations, right? …  Thank you …

Answer:

Justice is not necessarily linked to equality; in several cases, equality negates justice; this is why the Lord God's Quranic sharia legislations entail upholding to justice and not equality. Responsibility means to spend money on one's family and to expect family members to respect and obey the spender (which can be the husband or the wife); of course, obedience is linked here to matters that never contradict God's Quranic commands. Whether the husband or the wife is the breadwinner, no one has the right to change and modify the Quranic inheritance laws or to cancel any written will and testament (to inheritors) which is used for the sake of applying justice in many cases.

Within My Mind!

Published in September 25, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir,  … Within my mind, not through my mouth, I verbally abuse certain persons and wish to harm them; yet, when I see them, I ignore them totally and never speak to them or harm them; of course, the Omniscient Lord God knows about my feelings, but will He judge me for the evil I think of without applying it within action? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

God will judge our thoughts, feelings, imagination, fantasies, words, deeds, etc. whether they are good or bad/evil & permissible or forbidden. God will judge each human being as either an obedient or a disobedient person. Of course, God will pardon and forgive those guided monotheists who repent and perform many good deeds. God says in the Quran: "To God belongs everything in the heavens and the earth. Whether you reveal what is within your selves, or conceal it, God will call you to account for it. He forgives whom He wills, and He torments whom He wills. God is Able to do all things." (2:284); "And do not occupy yourself with what you have no knowledge of. The hearing, and the sight, and the heart - all these will be questioned." (17:36); "And I am Forgiving towards him who repents, believes, acts righteously, and then remains guided." (20:82).

Arab Unity?

Published in September 26, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Why do endeavors of Arab unity fail? Would not Arab countries be united like the EU one day? … Thank you …

Answer:

Such endeavors fail because they are mere alliances among tyrants and not among the Arab nations; besides, Arab nationalism is a vague, meaningless term based on the racism of hating non-Arabs. Besides, that you are an Egyptian man who speaks in Arabic does NOT mean you are of Arab origin; you are of Pharaonic origin. The Arab race originally is found only in Arabia; by the way, the varieties of Arabic in the 'Arab' countries are not mere dialects; rather, they are full-fledged languages/tongues; there is not much shared history among those 'Arab' countries between the Persian Gulf and the Atlantic Ocean. Of course, the Shiite-Sunnite struggle prevents any unity of any type; sadly, religious minorities are being persecuted in the Middle East. Unity of the EU is based on democracy, human rights, equality, freedom of religion, civil liberties; this is why EU countries are united despite their different tongues/languages.

About the Verse 16:8

Published in September 26, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … What is the meaning of this Quranic phrase: "...And He creates what you do not know." (16:8)… Thank you …

Answer:

Of course, human beings know about some creatures around them; yet, the process of creation goes on within animate and inanimate creatures; human beings have not yet discovered all living creatures on earth and inside oceans; new creatures may appear in the future; we do not know anything about all creatures; we never see Barsakh, ethereal creatures like jinn, devils, and angels. Sadly, most human beings – especially the Muhammadans – deify creatures/mortals as equals to God; this is sheer polytheism leading to Hell for those who die without repentance.

Rebellious, Disobedient Angels

Published in September 27, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Is Iblis/Satan the only rebellious, disobedient angel that became the Devil? Are there other rebellious, disobedient angels who disobey the commands of God? Are devils who help Satan former angels or created as jinn? … Thank you …

Answer:

We have to bear in mind that things never mentioned by God in the Quran about the metaphysical realm are not to be tackled or discussed; otherwise, myths and personal views would be deemed as religion; this is very sinful. Satan uses jinn-devils and human devils to misguide most human beings: "...The devils inspire their followers to argue with you; but if you obey them, you would be polytheists." (6:121); "Likewise, We have assigned for every prophet an enemy - human and jinn devils - inspiring one another with fancy words in order to deceive. But had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. So leave them to their fabrications. So that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may incline to it, and be content with it, and that they may perpetrate whatever they perpetrate." (6:112-113). Angels are free to (dis)obey God and they will be judged on the Last Day: "On the Day when the Spirit and the angels stand in row..." (78:38); "And you will see the angels hovering around the Throne, glorifying their Lord with praise. And it will be judged between them equitably, and it will be said, "Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds."" (39:75). The angels who never disobey the Lord God will be created on the Last Day; see our book, in English, about Barsakh:        http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=138

The Quranic Tongue

Published in September 27, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir,  … If the Quran is really the Omnipotent God's Word Who is the Creator, why its text is not understood by all people, in all eras, in a similar way? Why its language is Arabic, though most human beings speak in different languages? What about jinn to whom the Quran is addressed as well?! … Thank you …

Answer:

God is the Author of the Quran as His Last Message to humanity. He has ordained the differences in races, colors, and tongues of human beings: "And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your tongues and colors. In this are signs for those who know." (30:22). Each prophet/messenger spoke the language of his people to whom he was sent: "We never sent any messenger except in the tongue of his people, to make things clear for them. God leads astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. He is the Mighty, the Wise." (14:4). The Omniscient Lord God knew that the Arabic tongue will remain through the centuries; other old languages have disappeared; e.g., the Latin tongue is no longer spoken; the Spanish, the French, and the Italian tongues are derived from it. Jinn listened and understood the Quran: "Recall when We dispatched towards you a number of jinn, to listen to the Quran. When they came in its presence, they said, "Pay attention!" Then, when it was concluded, they rushed to their people, warning them." (46:29); "Say, "It was revealed to me that a band of jinn listened in, and said, 'We have heard a wondrous Quran. It shows guidance, so we have believed in it; and we will never associate anyone with our Lord." (72:1-2). God has made the Quran very easy to be understood by those who seek guidance and monotheism as per natural instinct inside our souls to seek the Lord God; those deep in Quranic knowledge can delve deeper into pondering the Quranic text. You have to remember that the meanings of the Quranic verses have been translated into tens of tongues; these good and bad translations are better than books of exegeses/commentary or interpretation authored by the imams/authors of the Muhammadans and contain nothing but blasphemies and fabrications.

Do not Argue with the People of the Book

Published in September 28, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … Within my arguing with a Christian man, he accused Muhammad of being a hypocrite and a deceiver/liar who desired to marry his adoptive son's wife! How can I refute this? Any ideas? … Thank you …

Answer:

Muhammad did not tell a lie; he never coveted someone's wife; God commanded him to marry the divorced woman who was his adoptive son's former wife; the mistake of Muhammad (as no prophets are to be deemed as infallible) was to conceal this command and not to show it: "...But you hid within yourself what God was to reveal. And you feared the people, but it was God you were supposed to fear..." (33:37). Please do not argue with the People of the Book who insult the Quran and Muhammad: "And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in the best manner possible, except those who commit injustices among them..." (29:46).  Muhammad conveyed the entirety of the Quran as it is; there are no mistakes in its text; God preserves the Quranic text against any distortions. Please read our writings to stop posing repeated questions that have been answered before. No human beings (prophets or non-prophets) are infallible; see our article in English:         http://www.ahl-alquran.com/English/show_article.php?main_id=18655

Moses and Knowing the Future

Published in September 28, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … God has made Moses perform many miracles, but was he granted a measure of knowledge about the metaphysical realm of the future? … Thank you …

Answer:

No. As per 3:179, some prophets were given a measure of knowledge about the metaphysical realm of the future like Jesus (see 3:49) and Joseph (12:37). Some other prophets did not know the future; e.g., Muhammad and Noah never knew the future (see 6:50 and 11:31). Moses never knew the future; he did not know, when he was on the Al-Tur Mount, that the Israelites worshiped a golden statue of a calf during his absence; another proof is the Quranic story of Moses mentioned in the verses 18:60-82.

This Is Your Problem and Not Ours

Published in September 29, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I did not like your answer to me when I asked you about the accusation leveled at Muhammad as a liar who concealed the truth as per the verse 33:37. You did not help me to refute the views of the Christian man! … God's prophets are supposed to be truthful; being a liar includes concealing something, you know! How this problematic issue is gonna be solved now?! I cannot accept the notion that Muhammad concealed something and disobeyed God! This is quite shocking! …  Thank you …

Answer:

Your real problem is that you adhere to the Sunnite myth that Muhammad, as well as other prophets of the Lord God, was infallible; you forget that prophets can make mistakes as they were mortal human beings; the only thing within which they never made mistakes is conveying the Lord God's Scripture or Book. We have written a lot about mistakes made by Muhammad and how no prophets are infallible and also about the difference between the Quranic terms (messenger) & (prophet); please read our entire archive and your problem will be solved! Please do not waste our time by sending to us repeated questions.

Raping One's Wife Is a Forbidden Sin

Published in September 29, 2018

Question: … Dear Sir, … I have a serious problem; my husband rapes me! I'm very sorry to say that he never enjoys having sex with me unless he would beat me and take me in a violent manner; he never cares if I'm ready for sex or not; he never pleased me with foreplay at all from day one in our marriage; I talked to him about my emotional needs and that he should engage into some foreplay, but he laughed at me and said that 'real' men never do that! Strangely, he reminded me of the 'fact' that all wives must obey their husbands all the time! When I would refuse having sex, he would beat me and rape me! I feel insulted and humiliated! I used to love him when he was my fiancé; I hate his guts now! I'm afraid of him! Raping one's wife is against the teachings of the Quran, right? What do you think? Any advice? What shall I do? … Thank you …

Answer:

The Lord God says in the Quran: "Your women are cultivation for you; so approach your cultivation whenever you like, and send ahead for yourselves. And fear God within piety, and know that you will meet Him. And give good news to the believers." (2:223). This means that raping one's life is a forbidden sin; the phrase (send ahead for yourselves) refers politely to the foreplay imposed as a duty on pious husbands before coitus with their wives. Hence, if your husband refuses to adhere to 2:223 and he would remain a sinner and an impious person who never fears the Lord God and who insists on raping you, you have the right to disobey him and to forsake his bed; you have the right to refuse getting raped and beaten by him; you have the right to complain and you can get a divorce or self-repudiation in case he would not reform himself.
