A Commentary on Our Previous Article: We Are Getting Bored of the Culture of Slaves!

Introduction:

1- Among the features of the culture of slaves is when Arab tyrants in Arab countries devour, torture, and rape the poor innocent citizens, and yet, these citizens scream while attacking the USA and Israel instead of attacking and criticizing the Arab tyrannical rulers!

We have asserted in many articles how that this principle of eliminating the culture of slaves is a basic goal of our website and how that this culture of slaves is the main feature of corruption and tyranny within the Middle East and Arab countries. This culture of slaves is deep-rooted because of centuries-old culture of tyranny maintained by corrupt education and media as well as religious calls (within the earthly religions of the Muhammadans) that propagate the idea of deification of tyrannical caliphs/sultans and those rulers following their footsteps within the so-called 'camp of peace' (i.e., countries of the Muhammadans), while making people vent their frustration and fury toward the so-called 'camp of war' (i.e., the West countries), even if these countries are not aggressive and they tolerate the existence of the local tyrants of the Arab world however enormous their corruption and crimes are.     

3- This culture of slaves is a crisis/dilemma that has its cultural, political, and religious dimensions, and it must be cured and  eliminated. The problem is that some Quranist writers on our website have this ailment in their hearts and minds (i.e., the culture of slaves) and refuse to get cured of it. Let us give more details below.

The USA complex:

1- Within the project of reforming religious education curricula in Egypt, a project initiated by us in the Ibn Khaldoun Center in 1998-1999, the first phase has been to write alternative curricula for the pre-university stage of education in the subjects of history, Arabic language, and religious education in public schools. We have undertaken the mission of authoring alternative curricula for religious education in the primary, preparatory, and secondary stages in Egyptian schools, complete with a book to guide teachers and another book of other alternative suggestions. Within the margin of this project, we have written a screenplay (period drama) about the value of tolerance, in addition to a documentary movie about how Egyptian 'Muslims' (whom we call now Sunnite Muhammadans) participate in the festival (or moulid in Arabic) celebrating the Virgin Mary in the church located in the Cairene district of Mostorrod. All these items were displayed by us for public debate and discussion, but the public opinion in Egypt was infuriated and vented its ire against us. Many media figures attacked and verbally abused our person and leveled many accusations against us. The second phase of this project involved hosting a select group of teachers to discuss our suggestions; the last phase that never took place was to make some of these teachers teach our curricula to select students of in the primary, preparatory, and secondary stages in some Egyptian public schools. Within the second phase of this project, we have hosted about 50 teachers in a hotel overlooking the Suez Canal in Al-Ain Al-Sokhna city, and we gave each of them a copy of what we have authored for open discussion in the conference held in that hotel. Most of their questions revolved around one thing: what is the aim of the USA regarding this project and why the USA would finance it since it is the number one enemy of Islam and Arabs who never stops conspiring against Egypt? We answered them that a neutral Scandinavian country is financing this project, not the USA, and that what is more important is to discuss the suggestions authored by an Egyptian reformist thinker (i.e., ourselves) and not by any non-Arab persons at all. Yet, we failed to convince them to discuss the material and to focus on it; they kept insisting that the USA is the country funding this project to serve an evil purpose! At last, we have been infuriated so much that we shouted at them, saying that we brought them here within luxurious air-conditioned buses, made them live for days in a luxurious five-star hotel, gave them handsome remuneration for their time, and commanded the same buses to drive them home in safety, all this using financial aid granted to us to establish reform! We demanded from them to tell us where the possible harm that might occur is and where these American and/or European conspiracies are! The conference failed and no fruitful results were attained at all; when those teachers were driven home to Cairo, they kept sending us letters carrying the same question: why the USA and the American-Egyptian owner of the Ibn Khaldoun center would finance and fund such 'questionable' project?! Was this a conspiracy schemed by the 'enemies' of Islam? This is the deep-rooted (USA complex) in the minds of some Arabs!              

2- This remind us with the persecution of communists and Marxists by the late President Gamal Abdel-Nasser in the late 1950s; Nasser was said to be a member of the MB for some time before 1952 coup, and at the same time, he was a member of the Egyptian communist movement called the Democratic Movement for National Liberation, whose Arabic acronym isHADITU. Nasser persecuted severely the terrorist MB members in the 1950s and incarcerated many of them and drove the rest out of Egypt. Likewise, Nasser soon enough incarcerated and tortured the peaceful communists and Marxists who were considered by him as troublemakers; even the communist leader Shuhdi Atiya was beaten to death in prison. When Nasser finally let communists out of prisons, they cheered his name and praised him for affiliating and linking Egyptian foreign policies to the USSR. When Sadat took over in 1971, he annulled all agreements with the USSR and affiliated himself to the USA. Though Sadat never incarcerated or tortured communists and though he left them in their positions and posts in the ministries of culture and information, they attacked Sadat virulently and defended Nasser who tortured them! This lead the pro-Sadat journalist and writer Anis Mansour to accuse those communists of being masochists! This is the deep-rooted (USA complex) in the minds of some Arabs! 

The Israel complex:

1- We were an activist in the Egyptian Anti-Normalization Movement (i.e., those who refuse to normalize with Israel), and we were one of its select orators and speakers; members of this movement and ourselves attended many conferences in Libya and Yemen. At the time, we felt happy that those who hated us for denying Sunna hadiths admired us as we delivered with enthusiasm our anti-normalization speeches. We were at the time a shining star among leftists, nationalists, and Nasserists in the early 1990s. in a moment of truth and reconsideration within our soul and mind, it dawned upon us that in each conference, all members of such a movement used to utter the same speeches, take the same decisions, and shout the same slogans and forget all about them until further notice!     

2- We kept asking ourselves: why on earth do we still deliver such sentimental futile speeches? What was the benefit gained by the sponsor of such conferences (i.e., Kaddafi of Libya at the time)? The important question that persisted in our head was as follows: how come that our slogans would be realized? The cultural elite has no power to implement anything at all; only Arab rulers have the power to apply slogans we preach and chant! No Arab rulers did anything to Palestine: the Egyptian King Farooq, Nasser, King Hussein of Jordan, presidents of Syria and Iraq, and the Saudi kings. Even the PLO did nothing to further the cause of Palestinians. In fact Israel expanded its land in wars of 1948, 1956, and 1967. After the Six-Day war, Israeli borders reached from the Suez Canal to a large part in Syrian land. This made us realize in the 1990s that Arab tyrannical rulers took advantage of the Palestinian cause to maintain and support their tyranny in their own countries. Even the Palestinians leaders live off the cause and receive $ millions, whereas ordinary Palestinians people pay heavy prices and get killed, while tyrants are enthroned firmly and get defeated in all battles so far!       

3- Hence, in the mid-1990s, we have reached the conclusion that Israel's existence is not a problem; the problem lies in the existence of Arab tyrants before and after 1948. Let us imagine that Israel does not exist, would an independent Palestine (after the British would leave it in the 1940s) be similar to Belgium and France?! Of course not; it would have been ruled by a tyrant like Sisi, Nasser, Mubarak, Sadat, Saddam, Al-Assad, Kaddafi, etc. or a tyrannical monarch as the case in Jordan, the KSA, and the Gulf countries. Most probably in that case that Palestinians would enter into civil war (like Abbas and the terrorist Hamas did before) and sectarian strife would occur between Muhammadans and Christians and civil strife between Wahabis and secular people. Thus, this imagined Palestine would suffer the same troubles we see in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, Iraq, and the Levant. Thus, the establishment of Israel in 1948 has saved some portion of the Palestinian population who live in better conditions inside Israel in comparison to despicable conditions suffered by Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.      

4- Thus, since the mid-1990s, we have personally gotten rid of the (Israel complex) and it was removed from our mind for good; the root of all evil is surely Arab tyrants who ride clergy and clergy that ride citizens! All clergy are bad and corrupt: Al-Azhar, Al-Qaradawy, Al-Sheikh family in the KSA, etc. Thus, the solution is to introduce educational, political, and religious reform to put an end to the culture of slaves. God says in the Quran: "...God does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves..." (13:11).     

5- Arabs now have fallen deeper into a dismal abyss; the deluge is coming and will destroy everything. An arrogant, foolish, ignorant Saudi young man (i.e. Muhammad Ibn Salman) is leading Al-Saud royal family members, with his Arab allies, to destroy Yemen after his uncle, the late king, has destroyed Syria and Iraq. Now, the KSA is about to fight Qatar and the Gulf monarchies within a regional war that will destroy everything in the coming years. Of course, such folly will benefit the USA and Israel. Instead of blaming Ibn Salman and his allies, Arabs will most probably blame, attack, and verbally abuse the USA and Israel instead. Clergy everywhere will issue fatwas to declare certain groups as infidels to foment more destruction and violence, as was the case when Saddam occupied Kuwait. 

6- The fatal ailment is the culture of slaves inherent and deep-rooted inside the psyche of Arab citizens, plus the culture of enslavement inside Arab tyrants. This corrupt culture must be eliminated by the introduction of political and religious reform done at any cost. This is why we insist within our writings to link both political and religious reform; we write frankly and directly without compromises or any attempt to care for feelings of Arab readers. This is why our writings that add salt to the wound hurt feelings of some Arab readers who suffer still from the obnoxious influence of the culture of slaves that leads them to glorify the past and present tyrants and vent and channel their frustrations and fury toward the USA and Israel instead of revolting to restore the lost dignity and rights. We will go on our route of reform within our writings; we care only for the weak ones on earth, to which we personally still belong.

3- In article titled "Wake Up, Arabs!...", we have proved that Arab tyrants are the real arch-enemies by focusing on one point: torture as one of the tools of tyrants, in contrast to rulers eagerly serving he nations/citizens in democracies. Because our aim on our website writings is always to introduce political and religious reform, we have tackled briefly a feature of Islamic democracy as applied by Muhammad who was the leader of the Quran-based Yathreb city-state, and we have provided as well a historical brief overview about how injustices and tyranny have infiltrated into the Arab culture accompanied by torture as a tool; we have reached the conclusion in this article that tyrants are arch-enemies of God and that we, Arabs, have to change the culture of slaves within ourselves so as to be liberated and save our grandchildren, as Europeans did in their renaissance era. This view of ours is based on this Quranic verse: "...God does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves..." (13:11).  

The culture of slaves has emerged once more as we read comments (in Arabic) written by some of our fellow Arab Quranists under this article:

1- The worst comment of all is the one that quoted Quranic verses to manipulate and twist their meanings to prove the wrong political viewpoint!

2- We have written this paragraph in our previous article; let's quote it here: (...Muhammad, the seal of prophets, was the leader of the Quran-based democratic Yathreb city-state, and he derived his authority from the dwellers of Yathreb: "It is by of grace from God that you were gentle with them. Had you been harsh, hardhearted, they would have dispersed from around you. So pardon them, and ask forgiveness for them, and consult them in the conduct of affairs..." (3:159). This means if they had dispersed from around Muhammad, he would have lost his authority as the leader of this city-state and he would have suffered persecution again as was the case in Mecca before. Thus, as a leader of this Yathreb city-state, Muhammad's authority was never derived from God, though he was a prophet of God, but from the Yathreb dwellers gathered around him (i.e., the nation or citizens), and he had to be gentle with them and to satisfy them so that their allegiance to him would be maintained; thus, he consulted them in the conduct of affairs: their affairs. This is Islamic Shura consultation, and he had to pardon them (and ask God to forgive them) if they insulted or harmed him...)

3- In such a brief article, it is NOT correct to quote many Quranic verses in every paragraph or point; for instance, this phrase about Muhammad can make us refrain from quoting many Quranic verses: (... and he had to be gentle with them and to satisfy them so that their allegiance to him would be maintained ...). We are quoting these many Quranic verses here now: the Meccan polytheists and disbelievers used to harm Muhammad and he used to bear patiently with them and have patience with such harm and never to retaliate in order to appeal to them and convince them to embrace Islam (i.e., the Quranic message), and some Quranic verses have been revealed to defend Muhammad: "And among them are those who insult the Prophet, and say, "He is all ears." Say, "He listens for your own good. He believes in God, and trusts the believers, and is mercy for those of you who believe." Those who insult the Messenger of God will have a painful penalty." (9:61); "Those who insult God and His messenger, God has cursed them in this life and in the Hereafter, and has prepared for them a demeaning punishment." (33:57). Other verses we did not quote previously are about how God has rebuked Muhammad explicitly and implicitly for trying eagerly to please them and accept their excuses many times and for asking pardon for them: "May God pardon you! Why did you give them permission before it became clear to you who are the truthful ones, and who are the liars?" (9:43); "Whether you ask forgiveness for them, or do not ask forgiveness for them-even if you ask forgiveness for them seventy times, God will not forgive them. That is because they disbelieved in God and His Messenger. God does not guide the immoral people." (9:80); "It is the same for them, whether you ask forgiveness for them, or do not ask forgiveness for them; God will not forgive them. God does not guide the sinful people." (63:6). All these verses show clearly that Muhammad was keen on coaxing, convincing, and pleasing them and to win their hearts to him as the leader of the Yathreb city-state; this is in contrast to the policies of oppression and torture inflicted by Arab tyrants (who claim falsely to be Muslims!) on poor peaceful citizens within the countries of the Muhammadans.   

4- This leniency of Muhammad referred to in 3:159 within how he, as a leader, dealt gently with citizens of the Yathreb city-state has nothing to do at all with the call and preaching of the Quranic message by Muhammad as a prophet of God. Within the Islamic/Quranic call, a preacher is commanded by God to preach the whole Quranic Truth clearly and lucidly without any compromises and then to avoid deniers and polytheists; this was what Muhammad did, as we infer from this verse: "So proclaim openly what you are commanded, and turn away from the polytheists." (15:94). Hence, being outspoken and vociferous about proclaiming the Quranic truth is linked to avoiding foes and deniers after telling them the Truth. So many Quranic verses carry the same meaning: to avoid the ignorant, the hypocrites, the disbelievers, and the polytheists after telling them the Truth and they insist on rejecting the Quran. Thus, within the Islamic/Quranic call, there is no room for compromises with stubborn rejecters and deniers, while adhering to the Quranic principle of (There shall be no compulsion in religion) as per 2:256. Hence, judging people in terms of faith is postponed till the Day of Resurrection by Almighty God the Eternal Judge. As for the Quran-based rule of direct democracy, citizens are to deal with one another as per the absolute religious freedom and freedom of expression and thought. So, deniers and rejecters of the Quran have been informed of the Quranic Truth and the monotheistic faith of Islam (literally, submission to God), and they will be questioned by God on the Last Day and will be held accountable for their choices, views, and deeds. But they have to adhere to Islam in terms of behavior; i.e., peaceful behavior and never to resort to aggression and violence by raising arms and terrorizing the innocent peaceful citizens.               

5- The overlapping between this and that indicates shameful ignorance that never fits Quranist writers on our Quranism website.

Lastly:

 The time of our death draws near; we are at the end of our lifetime journey; we get bored and fed up easily and can no longer bear patiently with this infiltrated culture of slaves on our Quranism website!
