About Parents in the Quran
Published in March 28, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … The Lord God in the Quran commands children to take care of their parents and parents to take care of their children; yet, there are no specified penalties in case of disregarding such Quranic commands; why is that? … Thank you …
Answer:
Not all sins have penalties exacted in this world on people by other people regarding the rights of people. As for violating the rights of the Lord God, this is punishable in Hell for eternity in case of dying without repentance.

My Adolescent Son
Published in March 28, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … My problem is my adolescent son who is in the high-school stage of education now; he is too lazy to study his lessons; he goes out a lot with his friends and he never heeds my pieces of advice; my punishing, encouraging, and rewarding him never brought the desired results; I implore the Lord God to guide him; what are the pieces of advice you can give me? … Thank you …
Answer:
During adolescence, changes occur in the young persons' perception of the world, authority figures, and those people around them; they tend to rebel, to break most rules, and to disobey their parents. You should mix between firmness and tenderness; do not corrupt your son with too many penalties or too much pampering; you have to make him bear responsibilities and to learn what is right and what is wrong. You have to be patient with him and please do not employ corporeal punishments at all. Adolescents desire to make people feel they are no longer kids and that they are important adults. May the Lord God come to your help and aid and may He guide your son.

Dowry and Inheritance
Published in March 28, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … In Jordan, where I live, dowries of brides include a stretch of land given to the bride's father; when this father would die, the land is given as inheritance to his progeny. Is this OK in Islam or not? What's to be done in that case if this is wrong and people desire to make amends? Any ideas?! … Thank you …
Answer:
The dowries are paid ONLY to the brides/wives; they can willingly leave part of their dowries to their bridegrooms/husbands. Inheritance is something totally different and it has nothing to do with dowries. Applying the Quranic sharia legislations is easy only for those who fear their Lord God and never follow their whims.

The Scheming of Satan Is Weak
Published in March 29, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … I want to understand why the Quran describes the wiles, plans, and schemes of the Devil as weak despite the fact that human beings cannot see Satan and other devils since they are invisible creatures … Thank you …
Answer:
We are to believe in Quranic facts about Satan and devils, which include the following: "...Surely the scheming of the Devil is weak." (4:76). This means that human beings can avoid being tempted by whispers of Satan and devils by seeking refuge in the Lord God. Of course, no devils can tempt human beings into sinning except when such human beings are willing to commit sins; human beings are free to resist the temptations of the devils or to succumb to them; human beings are free to choose (mis)guidance when they choose to reject or to follow the Lord God's Word: the Quran.

A Question of Inheritance
Published in March 29, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … A widow died in our village and she had no relatives at all and no children; she was taken care of during her illness by her late husband's son; will he receive her money as inheritance, then? She left no written will and testament. What is to be done? … Thank you …
Answer:
This son of the deceased woman's late husband has no inheritance share at all; the Egyptian State inherits the money of this woman after settling any debts and specifying a percentage for the poor and the needy.

What about the Hermaphrodite?!
Published in March 30, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … Do hermaphrodite persons have the right to marry? What if they cannot decide if they are males or females? What is their guilt so that they are born that way?! … Thank you …
Answer:
The human soul is NEVERa hermaphrodite; souls are either of males or females. Scientifically, all male bodies have a certain percentage of femininity and all female bodies have a certain percentage of masculinity. As for hermaphrodites who have both male and female genitals, their souls will certainly incline to belong to a certain sex. Some hermaphrodites have higher percentage of either masculinity or femininity; surgery will solve their problem easily along with psychological help, and then they can marry. Of course, hermaphrodites feel inwardly if their souls are females or males and if they are sexually attracted to males or females. Fates preordained by the Lord God includes tests of ordeals, hardships, and calamities as well as prosperity. Winners are those who pass such tests within piety, patience, and seeking to gratify the Lord God.

Rejecting and Disbelieving in the Quran
Published in March 30, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … I doubt very much the arrangement of verses and chapters of the Quran; historical narratives tell us that they are arranged by contemporaries of Muhammad after his death! Besides, no Quranic chapter has one/unified theme except the Quranic Chapter 12 about the story of Joseph.................. Does the Quran have missing verses or faulty order of chapters or not?! There are no proofs to assert anything! … Thank you …
Answer:
If you assume that what you have written are facts, then you are rejecting the Quran and you disbelieve in it. The Lord God Himself has made the order of chapters and arrangement of verses shortly before the death of Muhammad: "Upon Us is its collection and its recitation. Then, when We have recited it, follow its recitation. Then upon Us is its explanation." (75:17-19). We never believe in historical narratives about human beings making such order of verses or chapters at random. Such narratives are authored by haters of the Quran who sought to undermine, ridicule, and cast doubt on its verses. The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "Say, "Believe in it, or do not believe."..." (17:107); "Those who despise Our Verses are not hidden from Us. Is he who is hurled into the Fire better? Or he who arrives safely on the Day of Resurrection? Do as you please; He is Seeing of everything you do." (41:40). This means one is free to (dis)believe and to (dis)obey; this means that the Quran predicts that its haters will try to undermine it. Hence, Sunnite authors in their narratives/hadiths and books of fiqh undermine the Quran and assume that Naskh means that some of its verses replace other verses and that many verses are replaced/supplanted by their hadiths! This is utter blasphemy. The Quran has its unique terminology and its unique style in legislations and in stories of the past; repeated items in the Quran are a constant reminder; it is impossible that an Arabian man in the 7th century A.D. would author the Quran with its historical facts; besides, the Quranic verses contain scientific indications (see our book, in English, titled "The West and the Miraculous Scientific Indications in the Holy Quran" found on this link: http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=151). This is not to mention the unique writing style of the Quran and how it is linked to numerical/digital miraculous features.

About the Quranic Verse 20:115
Published in March 31, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … What is the meaning of this verse about Adam: "And We covenanted with Adam before, but he forgot, and We found in him no resolve." (20:115)? … Thank you …
Answer:
The Quranic verses explain one another; the meaning of 20:115 is found in the verses following it: "And We covenanted with Adam before, but he forgot, and We found in him no resolve. And when We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam." They bowed down, except for Satan; he refused. We said, "O Adam, this is an enemy to you and to your wife. So do not let him make you leave the Garden, for then you will suffer. In it you will never go hungry, nor be naked. Nor will you be thirsty in it, nor will you swelter." But Satan whispered to him. He said, "O Adam, shall I show you the Tree of Immortality, and a kingdom that never decays?" And so they ate from it; whereupon their bodies became visible to them, and they started covering themselves with the leaves of the Garden. Thus Adam disobeyed his Lord, and fell. But then his Lord recalled him, and pardoned him, and guided him." (20:115-122). This means that Adam's lack of resolve made him forget the Lord God's commands. This allowed Satan to mislead him by making hi consume the fruit of the Forbidden Tree.

About Victims of Rape
Published in March 31, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … Why the Quran does not mention any penalty for the crime of rape? Rape existed in Arabia before Islam; right?! Is rape alluded to in these verses or not: "When the girl, buried alive, is asked: For what crime was she killed?" (81:8-9)? Any ideas? … Thank you …
Answer:
The penalty for murder (e.g., murder mentioned in 81:8-9) is mentioned in another context about retribution (see 2:178-179). The females forced into prostitution or fornication are forgiven by the Lord God as per 24:33. Fornication is penalized in this world as per 24:2, and fornicators, killers, disbelievers, and aggressors will enter into Hell in case of their death without sincere repentance; about fornicators in Hell, see 25:68-71. Those who will enter into Hell for eternity will never get out of it; a second inside Hell is worse than all torments of all generations of human beings since Adam till the end of days. The problem of most human beings is that they rarely ponder on death or remember the Hereafter; their focus is on this transient world. The problem of the Quran-believing people is that they mostly disregard pondering on the Quranic verses which talk about Hell and Paradise. These verses are not repeated for no reason (the Quran is the Lord God's Word and has no room for jesting); this repetition is a constant reminder so that monotheists make their focus on the Hereafter and to never forget that they will die one day; hence, monotheists must prepare themselves for the Hereafter with lots of good deeds within piety and while seeking to please their Lord God.

Protesting against our Writings
Published in March 31, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … Why do not you confine your writings to pondering the Quran since you consider history as relative truths and you do not believe in hadiths and fiqh? … Thank you …
Answer:
Of course, we never believe in any discourse but the Quran. We never believe in any other discourses. We are also a Quranist writer and a historian at the same time; it is OK to use our field of specialization to ponder the Quran; you have to bear in mind that the Quran mentions historical facts and scientific facts within the framework of guidance and within a certain methodology. A reformist thinker like ourselves must link Quranic verses to social realities of today and of the past; the Quran tackles human traits which are applicable in all eras; thus, many people of several fields of specialization (history, sociology, linguistics, etc.) can approach the Quran from different angles. The Quran has its own unique terminology, as you know. Our field of specialization in history and Sunnite-Sufi traditions helped our pondering the Quran deeply as we seek reform using the Quran only as the Criterion to judge anything. This should not make you protest against our writings but make you appreciate our approach.

Breastfeeding and Marriage, Again!
Published in April 1, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … The son of my maternal aunt proposed to my sister; he is 8 years her senior; the problem is that my mother breastfed him five separate times! Is he like her brother, then?! Is their forthcoming marriage legal or not in Islam?! … Thank you …
Answer:
This marriage is OK in Islam; congratulations in advance; the continuous breastfeeding that prevents marrying the daughter of the wet-nurse or breastfeeding mother is the one lasting for about two years within which the baby's body grew because of it and he would regard the breastfeeding woman as though she were his own mother.

Cain and Abel
Published in April 1, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … Why did the Lord God send a raven (see 5:27-31) to teach Cain how to bury Abel after he killed him? Why did not God prevent this crime in the first place? … Thank you …
Answer:
The names of the two sons of Adam are not mentioned in the Quran; we refuse to use the names mentioned in the Bible or to deem them as true names. Part of the belief in the Quran is to believe in the fact that Quranic stories tell us the Absolute Truth within the aspects of the metaphysical realm of the past. You do not have the right to impose your wishes about what should have been done; you have no right to question the deeds of the Lord God: "He will not be questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned." (21:23).

My Husband and Porn Addiction
Published in April 1, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … My husband undergoes the middle-age crisis; he is addicted now to watching pornographic movies; I quarrel with him a lot now; I fear that such a scandal would harm our grownup daughter and son; they know about their father's watching sex movies on his PC every night! I know that watching such movies is sinful; my husband swears that he'd divorce me if I refuse to watch them with him in our bedroom! I cannot watch such filthy material! This is very sinful, right?! I fear for my children if my husband would divorce me! They will be devastated! What shall I do?! Any advice?! … Thank you …
Answer:
This middle-age crisis is typical within men who have no troubles or cares in their lives and have lots of spare time; of course, it is sinful to watch pornographic material, but this is a small sin or mistake/mishap if one avoids major sins such as fornication. The Lord God will not punish you for being forced by your husband to share his 'hobby' so as to avoid being divorced.

Realization of the Quranic Discourse
Published in April 2, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "Are they waiting for anything but its fulfillment? The Day its fulfillment comes true, those who disregarded it before will say, "The messengers of our Lord did come with the Truth. Have we any intercessors to intercede for us? Or, could we be sent back, to behave differently from the way we behaved before?" They ruined their souls, and what they used to invent has failed them." (7:53). If the Quran will be realized/fulfilled by the Lord God on the Last Day, why bother pondering on its text by human beings, esp. Quranists?! Any ideas?! … Thank you …
Answer:
We advise you to watch our videos and read our articles and books, especially our book about interpretation/fulfillment and realization of Quranic verses. This will help us save our time and effort and you will learn and find answers to all your questions.

Hereditary Disease
Published in April 2, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … What are hereditary diseases? Why has God decreed that some people inherit diabetes or other diseases from their ancestors? Any ideas? … Thank you …
Answer:
As for the medical reasons, we cannot answer you; you should consult a physician. As per the Quranist point of view, we assert here that being ill is part of preordained, inescapable fates, even if ailments occur because of external factors (germs, viruses, or contagions) or internal factors such as cancerous cells or diabetes inherited from one's parents or ancestors. Of course, all fates are preordained as per the Lord God's Will: "...None knows the hosts/troops of your Lord except He..." (74:31).

Books of Deeds within the Last Day
Published in April 2, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … Will all humanity see their books of deeds at once simultaneously or in successive groups on the Day of Judgment? … Thank you …
Answer:
All humanity will be made to stand in a row before their Lord God; there will be a collective book of deeds for each Umma or community and then individual books of deeds for each soul; yet, the prophets/messengers and witnesses/preachers of the Truth who will testify against their communities will be judged first before everyone else. Entering into Hell and Paradise will be in successive groups or throngs. We infer all this from the following Quranic verses.
"They will be presented before your Lord in a row. "You have come to Us as We created you the first time. Although you claimed We would not set a meeting for you." And the book will be placed, and you will see the sinners fearful of its contents. And they will say, "Woe to us! What is with this book that leaves nothing, small or big, but it has enumerated it?" They will find everything they had done present. Your Lord does not wrong anyone." (18:48-49); "On that Day, the people will emerge in droves, to be shown their works." (99:6); "On that Day you will be exposed, and no secret of yours will remain hidden." (69:18); "You will see every community on its knees; every community will be called to its Book: "Today you are being repaid for what you used to do. This Book of Ours speaks about you in truth. We have been transcribing what you have been doing."" (45:28-29); "There is none in the heavens and the earth but will come to the Dominant Lord as a servant. He has enumerated them, and counted them one by one. And each one of them will come to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone." (19:93-95); "No indeed! We will write what he says, and will keep extending the torment for him. Then We will inherit from him what he speaks of, and he will come to Us alone." (19:79-80); "On the Day when every soul will come pleading for itself, and every soul will be paid in full for what it has done, and they will not be wronged." (16:111); "Those who disbelieved will be driven to Hell in throngs. Until, when they have reached it, and its gates are opened, its keepers will say to them, "Did not messengers from among you come to you, reciting to you the revelations of your Lord, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say, "Yes, but the verdict of torment is justified against the disbelievers." It will be said, "Enter the gates of Hell, to abide therein eternally." How wretched is the destination of the arrogant. And those who feared their Lord will be led to Paradise in throngs. Until, when they have reached it, and its gates are opened, its keepers will say to them, "Peace be upon you, you have been good, so enter it, to abide therein eternally."" (39:71-73); "And the earth will shine with the Light of its Lord; and the Book will be put in place; and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought in; and Judgment will be passed among them equitably, and they will not be wronged. And every soul will be fully compensated for what it had done. He is well aware of what they do." (39:69-70).

He Should Be a Peaceful Husband
Published in April 5, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … I used to be a Salafist young woman; I converted to Quranism; I never told my family members about this; Sunnite Wahabism is spread among the vast majority of people in the conservative area where I live. Recently, a young man proposed to me; apparently, he seems to be good-natured and of good family; should I tell him about my Quranism or not?! I am not sure if he is going to accept marrying a non-Sunnite young woman! Besides, I feel like a hypocrite because of my concealing my new religion; I can no longer pretend to be a Salafist Sunnite person anymore; I cannot stand it! .......... From what I see, my fiancé is not the religious type, anyway; he does not enter into any mosques at all. Any advice? What do you think I should do?! … Thank you …
Answer:
It is not important to inform him about your Quranism; what matters most is that he should be a peaceful husband who never believes in Sunnite extremism and he would not practice the hateful compulsion in religion to force you into doing anything or to impose any religious views on you. We advise you to marry him since he does not frequent Sunnite mosques; this means he is not an extremist person; most religious Sunnite extremist men insist on imposing their views on their wives; hopefully, this will not be the case with you. May the Lord God bless you and grant you a happy married life.

Satan as An Evident Enemy
Published in April 5, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … Many Quranic verses describe Satan as a sworn, outright enemy or a clear, evident enemy; yet, how could we believe in this despite the fact that we cannot see ethereal creatures like Satan and devils while they can see human beings, as per the Quran?! Any ideas?! … Thank you …
Answer:
The Quran is a Clear Book with Clear Verses; this means that its verses address the human mind directly; hence, Satan (as well as devils among his progeny) is a clear, evident enemy as per the human reasoning and pondering of the Quran. Of course, we cannot see Satan and devils; they are arch-enemies as per our human discernment which is available only for those pious monotheists who believe only in the Quran; this verse applies to them: "Those who are righteous - when an impulse from Satan strikes them, they remind themselves, and immediately see clearly." (7:201).

Al-Qassim and Al-Qassimi
Published in April 5, 2019
Question: … Dear Sir, … The late Cairo-based Saudi writer Abdullah Al-Qassimi who settled in Egypt most of his life was a Wahabi writer who suddenly converted to atheism and authored books which contain blasphemies and insults against the Lord God; e.g., his book titled "The Universe Judges God" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdullah_al-Qasemi)....... Thus, he opposed and undermined the Quran. Is his stance part of God's Will or did he sell his soul to Satan? The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "Those who reverted after the guidance became clear to them - Satan has enticed them, and has given them latitude." (47:25). ....... What do you think now of Al-Qassimi? … Thank you …
Answer:
Of course, it is part of the Lord God's Will to make human beings free agents who choose to (dis)obey and to (dis)believe. Hence, in every era until the end of days, some human beings believe after their disbelief and some others disbelieve after being believers. All human beings will be held responsible on the Last Day for their religious choices made during their lifetimes on earth. As for Al-Qassimi, he chose to disbelieve in the Lord God and he propagated his atheist ideas in his books; before his atheism, he was not a Muslim; he was a Sunnite Wahabi polytheist. Thus, his judgment rests only with the Lord God in the Hereafter; the disbelievers will never prosper; they will never be among the winners on the Day of Judgment. It is very ironic that Al-Qassim region, in Saudi Arabia, would produce extremism of both sides: an atheist thinker like the man you ask about and the violent Wahabi religion of Satan which urges the rejection of the Quran.
