The Middle East Dialogue (MED) has established an international reputation as a focal point for new research, and a forum for the exchange of opinions and different views.The Middle East Dialogue is for policy makers, scholars, business and social leaders, to discuss current issues. Its purpose is to promote multidisciplinary conversation about topics that include, but are not limited to:

The Call for Proposals is now open for the 2017 Middle East Dialogue: A New Collective Vision. To submit a paper for consideration, please send a 1-2 page abstract to PSO Executive Director, Daniel Gutierrez, at dgutierrezs@ipsonet.org, or call 202-349-9282. The consideration deadline has been extended: due to recent events we are looking for talk proposals that address pressing policy concerns under the Trump administration.
A panel of reviewers from the Digest of the Middle East Studies International Editorial Board, will recommend select papers for publications in the peer-reviewed journal DOMES, published by Wiley-Blackwell.
Registration Information:
The conference will take place at the historic Whittemore House (1526 New Hampshire Avenue NW, Washington, DC). The conference registration fee* is $200 for presenters and $250 for attendees. Checks can be mailed to the PSO at:
* Arrangements can be made to waive the registration fee on a case by case basis. For more information, please contact Development and Programs Associate, Emily Dufton at edufton@ipsonet.org. Continuous refreshments, breakfast, and lunch, will be available for all those in attendance. There is no fee for students and guests of the PSO and its sponsors.
