The Quranic Descriptions of Quick Movements

Question: … Dear Sir, … The Quranic descriptions of quick movements differ in the Quranic verses; e.g., the case in 37:91 (the verb to hasten) differs from that in 37:70 (the verb to rush). Why is that? Any ideas?  … Thank you …

Answer:

 The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "Then he hastened to their gods, and said, “will you not eat?" (37:91); "Then he hastened to his family, and brought a fatted calf." (51:26); "Then he hastened to them, striking with his right hand." (37:93); "And his people came rushing towards him..." (11:78); "They had found their parents astray. And rushed along in their footsteps" (37:69-70).

 To (rush) is to run or walk very quickly in an agitated manner; to (hasten) means to walk swiftly and actively but not to run.

Sufi Lies Are against Islam

Question: … Dear Sir, … Sufis assume that God is 'happy' and He brings divine/celestial happiness to the chosen few who are united with Him. Is that true? You are an expert in Sunnite Sufism. Any ideas? … Thank you …

Answer:

 Of course, Sufi lies are insulting to the Lord God and are against True Islam (i.e., the Quran). God does NOT describe himself as 'happy' in the Quran; to describe Him as such is blasphemous; (un)happiness is a quality which describes human beings only. People are sometimes (un)happy in this transient world; unhappiness is eternal in Hell for sinners/disbelievers who will be tormented forever; happiness/joy is everlasting for the Paradise dwellers. The word (happy) is mentioned in this Quranic context about the Paradise-dwellers juxtaposed with the dwellers of Hell: "On the Day when it arrives, no soul will speak without His permission. Some will be miserable, and some will be happy. As for those who are miserable, they will be in the Fire. They will have therein sighing and wailing. Remaining therein for as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord wills. Your Lord is Doer of whatever He wills. And as for those who are happy, they will be in Paradise, remaining therein for as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord wills-a reward without end." (11:105-108).

There Is No Contradiction Here

Question: … Dear Sir, …  I do feel that the verse 36:6 contradicts 35:24. Would you tell me more about both verses? … Thank you …

Answer:

 The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "To warn a people whose ancestors were not warned, and so they are heedless." (36:6); "...There is no community/Umma but a warner has passed through it." (35:24).

 There is no contradiction here; the context of 36:6 is about the fact that the people of Muhammad (i.e., who were his contemporaries) never received any warner/prophet before the ministry of Muhammad as a prophet/warner in Mecca (and later on his people in Yathreb). As for 35:24, it is not about the people/contemporaries of Muhammad; the Umma of Arabs in previous eras had warners/prophets; e.g., the prophet/messenger Ishmael the and monotheistic preachers/warners who were non-prophets and dwelt in Arabia.

Titles of the Quranic Chapters

Question: … Dear Sir, … Who did give the titles to Quranic Chapters? God or Muhammad? Or is it someone else? Who arranged the Quranic Chapters that way we see now in the copies of the Quran? … Thank you for your time …    

Answer:

 Of course, the Lord God has chosen these titles and that arrangement. He undertakes the mission of preserving and protecting the Quranic text against any distortions and of explaining the verses by other verses: "Upon Us is its collection and its recitation. Then, when We have recited it, follow its recitation. Then upon Us is its explanation." (75:17-19). The Lord God employs some human beings, unbeknownst to them, who protect the Quranic text even if they are nonbelievers or polytheists. The Muhammadans disbelieve in the Quran; yet, in all eras until now, they preserve its text and copies and deify copies of the Quran as a source of benediction to them; they protect the unique style of writing used in the Quranic text. Even some orientalists who do not believe in the Quran exerted great efforts to translate the meanings of its verses. This means that this verse about God's protecting the Quran applies to all eras until the end of days: "Surely We revealed the Message, and We will surely preserve it." (15:9). This is part and parcel of the belief of all Quranists.

About the Quranic Verse 4:172

Question: … Dear Sir, … What is meant by the verb (Yastankif) in 4:172? … Thank you …      

Answer:

 "Christ does not disdain/Yastankif to be a servant of God, nor do the favored angels. Whoever disdains/Yastankif His worship, and is too arrogant-He will round them up to Himself altogether...But as for those who disdain and are too proud, He will torment them with an agonizing torment..." (4:172-173). This Arabic verb means to distain or to be arrogant/vain/proud. The same meaning is expressed here (about those arrogant ignoramuses) without using the same Arabic verb: "And among the people is he who argues about God without knowledge, or guidance, or an enlightening book. Turning aside in contempt, to lead away from the path of God..." (22:8-9).

Praying in Other Tongues apart from Arabic

Question: … Dear Sir, … Can a non-Arab person perform the five daily prayers in his/her own mother-tongue since he/she knows no Arabic at all and they read the Quran in their own mother-tongues?  What do you think?  … Thank you …      

Answer:

  Yes they can. Prayers are deemed acceptable by the Lord God in any tongue as long as piety within one's heart/soul is attained and applied in peaceful behavior all day long. The Quran was sent to Muhammad as a mercy to the humankind; human beings speak many tongues which have nothing to do with Arabic. Of course, messengers and prophets before the era of the descent of the Quran spoke no Arabic; they preached and prayed in their own tongues. Of course, on the Last Day, there will be in a new tongue employed by all humanity; we do not know this tongue now in this transient world.

There Is No Difference

Question: … Dear Sir, …  Is there a difference between these two phrasings of glorifying the Lord God and which is the accurate one: (Glorified and praised be the Lord God) & (Praised and glorified be the Name of the Lord)? … Thank you …      

Answer:

 There is no difference at all in the meanings of both versions of glorification. What matters most is to glorify the Lord God within piety, awe, and reverence inside your soul/heart.

About the Quranic Verse 56:83

Question:  … Dear Sir, …  What is meant by this verse: "So when it has reached the throat." (56:83)? … Thank you …      

Answer:

 The pronoun 'it' in 56:83 refers to the soul of a dying person as angels of death take it and store it in Barsakh ; this is explained in the context of 56:83-96 and in these verses: "The daze of death has come in truth: "This is what you tried to evade."" (50:19); "...you see them staring at you-their eyes rolling-like someone fainting at death..." (33:19). This is a warning to Quran-believing monotheists to prepare for death by performing many good deeds within piety and deep faith so that their moment of death will be a pleasant one when angels of death bring glad tidings of Paradise. Sinners and disbelievers will experience a frightening moment of dying as angels of death bring them news of their fate in Hell.

Jonah and Moses

Question: … Dear Sir, … What is the difference between the sea creatures linked to the Quranic stories of Jonah and Moses? Any ideas? … Thank you …   

Answer:

 From the context of the Quranic story of Jonah in 37:139-142, the sea creature is like a whale which can gulp and swallow a human being inside its mouth and belly. In contrast, from the context of the Quranic story of Moses in 18:61-64, it is understood that the sea creature is a big fish caught by Moses and his servant and they carried it inside some kind of a container; when they forgot all about it, this big fish jumped out of the container into the sea/river. Of course, all sea creatures are edible and part of permissible food items in Islam; see 5:96, 16:14, and 35:12.

The Sunnite Ideology?

Question: … Dear Sir, … Can I deem the Sunnite religion as an imperialist ideology propagated by caliphs? What do you think?  … Thank you …     

Answer:

 No. The Sunnite religion of Satan is not an ideology in itself and it has undergone many changes until it reached its form we know today. The ideologies and isms of modern times (e.g., capitalism, Marxism, communism, and imperialism) did not exist in the Middle-Ages; we can say that the Sunnite religion and fiqh dealt with certain economic issues as per notions dominant in the Middle-Age. Of course, caliphs manipulated, adapted, and changed the Sunnite religion to serve their political purposes. Injustice reigned supreme in the Middle-Ages in the Arab world; Sunnite fiqh rules reflect that; there was free-market but the rulers/sultans imposed heavy taxes as per their whims and assumed they owned the so-called Islamic world. This type of injustice spread in the feudal Europe of the Middle-Ages. Imperialism spread after the Europeans roamed and explored the Earth; world trade flourished as a result; the bourgeoisie class and capitalism spread and communism emerged as a reaction to defend rights of workers. The conditions of the development of ideology differ from those of the emergence of the Sunnite religion and other terrestrial/earthly religions of Satan.

About the Quranic Verse 16:4

Question: …  Dear Sir, …  The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "He created the human being from a drop of fluid, yet he becomes an open adversary." (16:4); my question is as follows: How come that the human being is an adversary to Allah? Any ideas?   …  Thank you …        

Answer:

 This is repeated in this verse: " Does the human being not consider that We created him from a seed? Yet he becomes an open adversary." (36:77). In both 16:4 and 36:77, the Quranic term (the human being) refers ONLY to the vast majority of humanity who are misguided/mislead and polytheists/disbelievers and will die as such. This Quranic term does NOT refer to all human beings. The adversaries mentioned in both verses are those who ally themselves to Satan instead of God. They forget how they were created from fluid/seed. The Muhammadans, for instance, are adversaries/foes of Allah because they reject the Divine Revelation (i.e., the Quran) and prefer to it devilish revelations (i.e., hadiths and fiqh books); when they see that hadiths contradict Quranic verses, they stick to hadiths and deny the Quranic verses. This makes them polytheists who deify mortals as equals to the Lord God.

About the Quranic Verse 3:140

Question: … Dear Sir,  … The context of 3:140 is about self-defense military endeavors for God's sake; this means that 3:140 talk about (martyrs) and not (witnesses) as you have written before; what do you think?  … Thank you …

Answer:

 You are in the wrong; the misunderstanding is due to the fact that the modern Arabic word for (martyrs) is the same like the Quranic term for (witnesses); modern Arabic is not to be used to understand the unique Quranic tongue and the Quranic terminology. The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "If a wound afflicts you, a similar wound has afflicted the others. Such days We alternate between the people, that God may know those who believe, and take witnesses from among you...." (3:140). Of course, witnesses to the Truth testify against their contemporaries on the Last Day; those witnesses are preachers of the Truth among their people. Some of these witnesses may get killed and some may die a natural death. The souls of those who got killed live in the bliss of the Barsakh Paradise until the Day of the Resurrection. Both witnesses who got killed and those who died naturally will testify against the rejecters of the Truth among their contemporaries on the Judgment Day.

Keys of the Future and the Unknown

Question: … Dear Sir, … The known Egyptian Sufi author/sheikh Al-Shaarany wrote that Sufi allies/saints know the future and the unknown/invisible but they do not have the keys of the realm of thefuture and the unknown owned only by the Lord God. You are an expert in Sufism and you know all about Al-Shaarany; what is your own opinion of his claim?   …  Thank you …

Answer:

 We think that Al-Shaarany contradicts himself; in some lines of his books, he assumed that the so-called 'saints' never know the future/unknown, and in some other lines, he wrote that the saints have God-like omniscience and this is part of their miracles! There is nothing called sainthood in Islam. Sufism is a religion of Satan; it is based on deifying and sanctifying saints as immortal deities who are assumed to be endowed with omniscience and a measure of omnipresence and omnipotence; they are supposed to be united with God; this is sheer blasphemy and utter polytheism. The metaphysical realm of the future, the past, and the invisible/unknown is controlled and known only to the Omniscient Lord God and never to mortals. The Lord God says the following in the Quran: "With Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except He. And He knows everything on land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but He knows it; and there is not a single grain in the darkness of earth, nor is there anything wet or dry, but is in a clear book." (6:59).

Devilish Whispers!

Question: … Dear Sir,  … I am a Quranist man like you; yet, sometimes, I find myself lost in blasphemous/heretical thoughts of disbelief with which I am obsessed! This depresses me so much! Do I lack faith an certainty?! I know such thoughts are whispers of devils; what am I supposed to do?! How can I get rid of them?! Any advice?! … Thank you …     

Answer:

 True monotheists can get rid of such devilish whispers by seeking refuge in the Great God against Satan the outcast; this is what Muhammad did, as per the Quran. Your anxiety and sorrow are indicators of your deep faith and piety. You do not have to worry. Satan and devils do not whisper blasphemies to their followers and worshipers as their souls are already controlled by Satan. The allies of Satan assume they are guided but they are not; devils deceive and delude them. Your faith is good and deep and so is your piety; devils try to shake them by such whispers.

The Quran and the Book!

Question: … Dear Sir,  … What is the difference between the two Quranic terms (the Quran) and (the Book)? Sometimes they are synonymous and sometimes they are not; any ideas?! … Thank you … 

Answer:

 The term (Book) refers to the entirety of the Quranic text which descended upon Muhammad during his Night-Journey from the Kaaba, in Mecca, to Al-Tur Mountain in Sinai, Egypt, on the Night of Decree. The term (Quran) refers mainly to how verses and Chapters were revealed gradually to the mouth of Muhammad as he uttered them to his contemporaries. The term (Book) sometimes refer to the Book/Scripture granted to Moses and the books/scriptures granted to other messengers/prophets. The term (Book) sometimes refer to records of the Lord God written by angels ho register deeds of human beings and things/events/occurrences related to Earth and the universe; see 6:59. Teaching Ignorance!

Question: … Dear Sir, … Having read your entire archive of writings and all your videos, I feel so shocked; our Egyptian schools and universities teach nothing but nonsense and ignorance as far as Arabic and religion are concerned; the Quranic tongue and terminology have nothing to do today's Egyptian dialect of Arabic and classical Arabic; myths spread about almost every religious topic; I'm not surprised, though, that there are no feasts/Bairams in true Islam....................... There are so many fabricators of myths and inventors of lies in the Sunnite religion! .............  …  Thank you …    

Answer:

 Sadly, ignorance is being taught while wearing the garb of knowledge; all religious curricula have nothing to do whatsoever with the Quran; Azharite men teach lies such as fiqh, hadiths, etc. as if such falsehoods were part of Islam. There are some illiterate people who understand the Quran more than Azharite ignoramuses. There are those Quranist thinkers, like our person, who write and talk about Quranic facts of Islam, but they face media black-out imposed on them. We have struggled peacefully and intellectually for more than 40 years to correct tenets and notions within the Quranist/Islamic enlightenment and religious reform. We hope that many youths like you would help spread links of our website and YouTube channel so that more people would know about Quranism as the Only True Islam. Hanifa and Monotheism

Answer:

  It refers to monotheism and the Divine Truth in the sense of dedicating one's religion, piety, and acts of worship only to the Lord God (see 6:79, 10:105, 30:30, and 39:2-3). This term is employed in the Quran to describe the monotheistic religion of Abraham (see 6:116, 16:123, 3:95, 2:135, 4:125, 3:67, and 16:120) and all people (Muhammad and Quran-believing persons and the People of the Book) are commanded in the Quran to follow it.

Sorrow in the Quran

Question: … Dear Sir, … The term (sorrow) is mentioned in the Quran several times; would you please tell me more about its meanings in the different Quranic contexts? … Thank you …  

Answer:

  It has the same meaning in all contexts like the literal meaning in modern and classical Arabic. The term (sorrow) is mentioned in the Quranic stories of Joseph (see 12:85-86), Moses (see 28:8), and Muhammad (see 9:92). It is also mentioned about Paradise-dwellers as they will never experience sorrow: "And they will say, "Praise God, who has lifted all sorrow from us. Our Lord is Most Forgiving, Most Appreciative." (35:34).

The Tribe of Qorayish Today!

Question: … Dear Sir, … Does the tribe of Qorayish still exist in Mecca today? Any ideas? … Thank you …        

Answer:

No. The genealogy of famous Arab tribes were no longer the focus of interest since the 10th century A.H. No one cared to trace and write about the progeny/descendants of each Arab tribe residing in Arabia or the tribes which settled elsewhere outside Arabia. Many people claimed falsely to belong to this or that Arab tribe. As for the Qorayish tribe, most of its members settled in conquered countries in the 1st century A.H. and they participated in the Arab conquests and the subsequent political and military struggles and civil wars. Gradually, members of this tribe vanished out of Mecca, except for few men who claimed to be the descendants of Ali and Fatima (daughter of Muhammad) who ruled Mecca, Yathreb, and sometimes the whole of the Hejaz region for centuries. Mecca received an influx of immigrants who came from the conquered nations to settle there with the passage of the centuries. This was more noticeable in the Ottoman Era. This is our view as a historian; we might be wrong or right. Thank you for your good question.
