Greetings from the National Endowment for Democracy! I hope all is well with you at this time. Here in the Reagan-Fascell program, we are still going strong-continuing to support courageous activists, practitioners and scholars such as yourselves. We are proud of our alumni, now numbering 138 men and women from over 60 countries.
I am writing to introduce you to our newest staff member, Judith ("JJ") Welling, who joined us last December as assistant program officer, fellowship programs. Judith was a research associate with us last year, and her dedication and talents are a natural fit with our program. Judith is working closely with fellows-past and present-who find themselves at risk. Her background in human rights law provides excellent training for this role. Judith is also focusing on improving our promotional materials and recruitment of applicants. Finally, she is our "alumni officer" and will be working to strengthen our alumni network over time.
Combining her interests in promotion and alumni relations, Judith has designed a survey to explore your perspectives and elicit your advice on our promotional materials. This survey, the Reagan-Fascell Promotion Questionnaire, is administered by the web-based survey tool "Survey Monkey" and can be accessed at the following link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7SJ8PJQ
Please take a few minutes to fill it out and send it back through the electronic system-we will welcome your ideas and feedback! If you have any additional thoughts, you can also contact Judith by email at judithw@ned.org.
With warm regards and best wishes,
Sally
