ICC, Here We Come!‏

Eight years.  Eight LONG years.  That's how long the United States seat has been empty at the Annual Meetings of the International Criminal Court (ICC).  Thank you for continuing the fight to build U.S. support for the ICC for all these years.  [Image courtesy of the Coalition for the ICC]

But our seat is no longer empty. Last month Ambassador Stephen Rapp attended the Eighth Session of the ICC's Assembly of States parties as the United States representative.  The U.S. taking its seat in the Hague was an emotional moment for all of the delegates and YOU made it happen[Image courtesy of the CICC / Peter de Groot]

Now we want to make sure that Amb. Rapp, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama know how much our members and activists appreciate this huge step for the ICC and how important the ICC is to you.

Moving forward we will continue to work on U.S. involvement in the ICC and ensuring that we participate in a positve and engaged way in the May ICC Review Conference in Kampala, Uganda. Stay tuned for more news and information about what we're doing to support Amb. Rapp and President Obama make the United States an engaged, active supporter of the International Criminal Court.  Click here to acknowledge this huge step forward and thank President Obama and Ambassador Rapp for their efforts on the ICC.
Thanks for all you do,
