The Concert For Kids was a new event in the Beaverton community. It was held on November 17th at Beaverton High School. The event was a school project by Babak Seyed Shakeri that evolved into something else. The concert started becoming less of a project and more of a mission.
The concert performers were teens and children from the local area including Pevyand and Payam, and a violin duet. There was also a dance performance by The Persian Dance Academy and a local 12 year old singer. The goal was to raise $1000 dollars for children in need. That night alone, over $1100 dollars was raised for Child Foundation. In addition to raising the money, we also raised awareness and changed children's lives. Dubai Charity Bazaar
Child Foundation in Dubai held a Charity Bazaar at Azad University on November 19th. This event was well attended and many local and Persian owned businesses introduced their services to the community. It was a good opportunity for Child Foundation to introduce itself and its activities to the students and faculty of Azad University. Many thanks to the President of the University and the very helpful staff for providing the space and accommodations for this event. |
