There are two oppressive forces in Egypt: the military Mubarak regime and the Wahhabi opposition (Muslim Brothers and others). They have hatched endless corruption and chaos in Egypt. To distract the masses, they work together in manipulating the Egyptian public opinion. They are successful in convincing the Egyptians that the Infidel west is the ardent enemy of Islam and Muslims, and the West and the US conspire against Islam and Arabs and Muslims.
Mubarak military regime has not its own political ideology, so it lives on the Wahhabi Sunni culture, especially this culture supports dictatorship. So, it recognizes it as the religion of Islam itself. They have rooted this culture in media, education and in mosques.
