نص السؤال
Good morning Dr. AHmed, I have a question that is seriously bothering me. The people that are referred to in the quran as the Mo'minoon. I searched for the root words آمن and also أمن i was trying to see in case the mo'minoon are more closely related to the word آمن or أمن the reason for this was because in case it was more closely related to آمن this would mean that alazeena amanu are simply the people who believe in God with faith and action. أمن But in case it was closer to this would mean that the mo'min is someone that deals with people in such a way as to secure them from his/her harm. When i was looking up the words, i found a bit of both and i am quite unsure which alazeena amanu is closer to is it أمن or is it آمن . also how is Allah al mo'min meaning he who brings people security yet the mo'min is someone who believes only. shouldn't it also mean someone who brings peace to others? Please help me out with this because i have a theory that alazeena amanu means those that bring people peace (like Allah, since he is AL Mo'min) as well as those who believe in God and his angels and his books etc. Does my theory sound correct from a linguistic point of view. Please feel free to answer in any language. i know you are strong in arabic and i would appreciate help in any language. Thank you so much. Peace.
