Hello, I'am 23 years old single and unemployed while not getting enough support from my family. They claim that woman does not need to go out for work because at the end she will end up by getting married. They do not accept I look for jobs outside our city and rent my own accommodation which had me to turn an offer down whereas my brothers since they are males they allowed to do so. Men can be ambitious and aspire for position even beyond their capabilities whereas we are defended from doing so , why is it believed that all women are attracted by cooking and house tasks? They have ambitions and other orientations too! It is so unfair. I must accept only jobs within my city or even better within my area at the same I don't get enough support . My family does not harm me physically but does so psychologically . I needed to take this out of my chest because who can else listen ?

Dear, this is a widely spread problem in the Arab-Muslim  word and a result from the backwardness in which this world has been sinking whereas Islam is far from this mentality that has oppressed Muslim women. Please refer to our writings about the political rights of Muslim woman such as ruling in Islamic state.

Changing this status quo requires a huge and determined effort to enlighten women about their rights, I wish you could undertake this path and endeavor for this cause.
