Marrying Freed Slaves

Published in June 22, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … I'd like to pose a couple of question about female and male slaves and how they are mentioned in the Quran: .........................   … Thank you …

Answer:

The Lord God urges people to free and marry their slaves (i.e., heterosexual marriages) and NOT to turn them into sex objects at all; see 24:32-33. Please read our book, in English, titled (Slavery: A Fundamental Historical Overview), found on the following link:

Included in the Inheritance or Not

Published in June 22, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … I gave my mother-in-law a gold bracelet shortly before she died suddenly days later; yet, my sister-in-law took the bracelet to herself and claimed that her late mother gave it to her before she died; that's an outright, flagrant lie, of course. I'm sure of that. I do believe that I must have this bracelet because it's I who bought it and gave it to my mother-in-law days before her death. Am I right or not?! There is also another question: Is this bracelet part of the inheritance left by the deceased woman or not? Any ideas? … Thank you …

Answer:

This bracelet is not yours, anyway. As long as there are no witnesses to testify that the deceased woman gave the bracelet to her daughter, this bracelet must be included within the inheritance. In this case, it is not yours (it's your late mother-in-law's) and it is not among the possessions of the late woman's daughter. If there are witnesses to testify that the deceased woman gave the bracelet to her daughter, it is hers only and could not be part of the inheritance.

About the Quranic Term (Saeer)

Published in June 23, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … What does the Quranic term (Saeer) mean in relation to Hell? Any ideas? … Thank you …

Answer:

It is one of the names of Hell (and its torment and flames) in 4:10, 4:55, 17:97,22:4, 25:11, 31:21, 33:64, 34:12, 35:5, 42:7, 48:13, 67:5, 67:10-11, 76:4, 84:12. The plural form of (Saeer) is (Su'ur) (i.e., flames of Hell-Fire), and this term is mentioned twice only in the Quranic text in 54:24 and 54:47.

About the Quranic Context 21:42-43

Published in June 23, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … I'd like you to tell me more about the meaning of 21:42 ............. … Thank you …

Answer:

The Lord God says the following in the Holy Quran to address all human beings: "Say, “Who would guard you against the Dominant Lord by night and by day?” But they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord. Or do they have gods who can defend them against Us? They cannot help themselves, nor will they be protected from Us." (21:42-43). This is addressed to humanity, in all eras, to ponder the absurdity of polytheism (i.e., the belief in the existence of gods/deities besides Allah). Of course, the same meaning of 21:42-43 is repeated here: "Or who is this who is a force for you to protect you against the Dominant Lord? The disbelievers are in nothing but delusion. Or who is this that will provide for you, if He withholds His provision? Yet they persist in defiance and aversion." (67:20-21). Sadly, since the era of Noah until now, the bad habit of most people is to invoke or seek the aid of false gods they have fashioned in their imagination. The Lord God asserts in the Holy Quran – rejected by the Muhammadans – that no creatures can stop fates imposed by Allah; this is addressed directly to Muhammad during his lifetime: "And if you asked them, “Who created the heavens and the earth?” they would say, “God.” Say, “Have you seen those you pray to instead of God? If God willed any harm for me, can they lift His harm? And if He willed a blessing for me, can they hold back His mercy?” Say, “God suffices for me. On Him the reliant rely.”" (39:38); "If God touches you with adversity, none can remove it except He. And if He touches you with good - He is Capable of everything." (6:17); "If God afflicts you with harm, none can remove it except He. And if He wants good for you, none can repel His grace. He makes it reach whomever He wills of His servants. He is the Forgiver, the Merciful." (10:107). Sadly, the Muhammadans never ponder the Quran and they listen to its verses being sung in funerals, gatherings, and festivals; they disbelieve in the Quranic verses and never heed them; this is why many of them venerate and worship at sanctified mausoleums to seek the aid of gods/'saints' in many cities: Cairo, Yathreb, Damascus, Karbala,...etc.

The Quran As A Sign/Miracle

Published in June 24, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … How come that the Quranic text would seem 'miraculous'?! Why cannot human beings and jinn author another text like it?! I refer here to 17:88.........Please explain this to me! … Thank you …

Answer:

The Lord God says the following in the Holy Quran: "Say, “If the humankind and jinn came together to produce the like of this Quran, they could never produce the like of it, even if they backed up one another.” " (17:88). This is a challenge posed by the Lord God; the Holy Quran is unique and peerless since it is the Lord God's Word; it contains verses about the metaphysical realm of the past and the future, especially the future regarding the Hereafter; i.e., the advent of the Hour and the events of the Last Day. Of course, the Lord God's Omniscience is beyond the limited abilities of human beings and jinn.

About the Quranic Term (Baqiyya)

Published in June 24, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … What is meant by the Quranic term (Baqiyya) found in 11:86? Any ideas? … Thank you …

Answer:

It refers here to Paradise and its provisions offered by the Lord God: "What is left/Baqiyya by God is best for you, if you are believers. And I am not a guardian over you.”" (11:86). It refers here to wisdom of the monotheistic, pious doers of good deeds who seek Paradise: "If only there were, among the generations before you, people with wisdom/Baqiyya, who spoke against corruption on earth..." (11:116). It refers here to the contents of the Ark of the Covenant of the family of Moses and Aaron: "And their prophet said to them, “The proof of his kingship is that the Ark will be restored to you, bringing tranquility from your Lord, and what is left/Baqiyya by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron. It will be carried by the angels. In that is a sign for you, if you are believers.”" (2:248).

About the Quranic Story of Job

Published in June 24, 2020

Question:  … Dear Sir, … I dislike very much the article (in Arabic) by one of the young Quranist writers on your website about Job; he dares to assume that Job was psychologically disturbed! How come?! I dislike other ideas mentioned in such an article:.............This goes against Islamic legislations about................What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

We have praised this young writer for his Quranist ponderings; we liked them very much; it is normal that some readers may disagree with views expressed in any articles published on our website. The Quranist writer of the article about Job uses the verb (claim) in expressing his own ideas; this means he ascribes his ideas/conclusions to himself (and not to the Quran or to the Lord God) and he never deems them as absolute truth. This means he did his best to ponder the Quranic story of Job within the Quranist school of thought and methodology. Besides, Quranic stories are NEVER the source of Islamic legislations about prohibited and permissible items.

News Reel on our Website

Published in June 25, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … I converted to Quranism after reading within your great website for months...........But I have one point against you: I dislike very much your news reel on your website (in Arabic) since it copies fake news about Egypt from websites controlled by enemies of Egypt (i.e., Qatari media and the terrorist MB organization media)...... The focus of the news reel is too much on Egypt as if it is the only tyranny-controlled country; why do not we find bad (fake or true) news about Qatar and the Gulf monarchies as well as the rest of the Arab world for a change?!.....You seem to be biased against Egypt all the time! Or at least you appear to be so even if you are not!................ I advise you out of love and respect; I do not like to see Egyptians turned off by such a news reel (containing fake news about Egypt) instead of egging them on to read your great Quranist writings......... … Thank you …

Answer:

May the Lord God bless you. We never make up or fabricate such pieces of news; we copy them from online newspapers; no media worldwide is neutral; we copy pieces of news from Arab and non-Arab sources; the news reel includes news about better health, scientific discoveries, archeological discoveries (in Egypt and elsewhere), how some Muslims/Muhammadans are being persecuted, human rights conditions in the Arab world, and how tyranny & corruption is ruining the lives of many Arab citizens in several countries; no one should expect us to copy 'good' news since the main objective of our website is to focus on reform and to expose tyrants and how the weak, innocent ones on earth suffer lack of human rights. Pieces of news about Egypt are saddening our person as well. Our focus is on beloved homeland Egypt since it is the leading Arab country imitated by other Arab countries; it is the most influential country in the Middle-East; we also publish news of preliminary (major or minor) steps of reform in Egypt and elsewhere in the Arab world. We cannot copy news from Egyptian media since we doubt their being authentic or true since the government there controls the media. We never expect our readers to like/love all pieces of news we copy; readers should never expect our checking if the pieces of news we copy, spread by so many media worldwide, are true or fake; how this should be checked or verified anyway?!

About Dinosaurs

Published in June 25, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, …  We have been told by science that dinosaurs lived on earth millions of years ago and then went instinct for unknown reasons; my questions are as follows: Why has the Lord God created such creatures and then put an end to them? All creatures glorify the Lord God in their own tongues, right? What is the use of remains of dinosaurs for human beings? ........... Any ideas? … Thank you …

Answer:

The Lord God says the following in the Holy Quran about Planet Earth: "Everyone upon it is perishing." (55:26). All (non)human creatures are mortals sans exception. During their lifetimes, all creatures glorify their Lord God the Creator; non-human creatures do that non-voluntarily in ways we cannot understand; only monotheists among human beings do that willingly. It is a Quranic fact that all human beings form generations which succeed one another.

Should I leave any place where wine is served? What about my job which requires me to attend such parties?.........Any ideas? …  Thank you …

Answer:

May the Lord God bless you; you are to avoid wine only and not those who drink it; it is OK to attend such parties since you never drink.

About the Quranic Term (Ghamam)

Published in June 26, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … What is meant by the Quranic term (Ghamam)? …  Thank you …

Answer:

It refers to the clouds: "And We shaded you with clouds/Ghamam, and We sent down to you manna and quails..." (2:57); "...And We shaded them with clouds/Ghamam, and We sent down upon them manna and quails..." (7:160).

About the Quranic Term (Gham)

Published in June 26, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … What is meant by the Quranic term (Gham)? …  Thank you …

Answer:

It refers to deep sorrow and distress: "Remember when you fled, not caring for anyone, even though the messenger was calling you from your rear. Then He repaid you with sorrow/Gham upon sorrow/Gham, so that you would not grieve over what you missed, or for what afflicted you. God is Informed of what you do...." (3:153); "...but We saved you from distress/Gham; and We tested you thoroughly. And you stayed years among the people of Madian. Then you came back, as ordained, O Moses." (20:40); "So We answered him, and saved him from the affliction/Gham..." (21:88); "Whenever they try to escape the gloom/Gham, they will be driven back to it: “Taste the torment of burning.”" (22:22). Yet, the term (Ghuma) which is derived from the same root as (Gham) refers to uncertainty: "And relate to them the story of Noah, when he said to his people, “O my people,...and do not let uncertainty/Ghuma perplex you regarding the matter..." (10:71).

The Yathreb Battles of Self-Defense

Published in June 27, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … Why do not you write a brief article about battles of the Yathreb city-state outside the city of Yathreb itself? …  Thank you …

Answer:

Some of our old articles cover this topic. Not every self-defense battle fought by the troops of the Yathreb city-state led by Muhammad is mentioned in the Quran; the ones mentioned in the Quran aim at making readers draw moral lessons; they are mentioned without much historical details which may pique the interests of historians. The Quran is never a book on history; rather, it is the Book of guidance. Of course, we have inferred from the Quran that some battles were fought outside Yathreb since this city was a target from all the four corners and it was surrounded by enemies/aggressors (Yathreb was at one time sieged from all directions as per the Quranic Chapter 33); it was a better military tactic to make battlefields outside the city by facing the troops of aggressors outside the borders of Yathreb. Of course, our Quranist ponderings are not to be deemed as the absolute truth; they might be right or wrong, and we welcome any corrections.

Beyond Eternal Life in Paradise!

Published in June 27, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … When Paradise dwellers enjoy its pleasures for hundreds of years or even a million years, they will most probably get bored, I think.............What lies beyond Eternal Life in Paradise, then?! How come that Paradise does not have an end?! Any ideas?  …  Thank you …

Answer:

There are neither years nor tedium and fatigue within the Eternal Life in Paradise in the Hereafter; there is no sense of time as the one felt by human beings on Planet Earth. The limitations of the human mind prevent people from imagining how Eternal Life inside Paradise will look like with no sense of past, present, and future like the ones felt within the moveable time in the physical universe. Time envelopes the physical existence/realm and we cannot escape it. Time is static (or even nonexistent) in the metaphysical realm in the Hereafter. This Eternal Life in Paradise has a beginning (once Paradise dwellers enter into it) and it has no end. For more details, see our two English articles, about time, found on the following links:

We Feel Sorry for This Young Woman

Published in June 29, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, …   I am a young woman, a researcher and an avid reader, who believes only in the Quran; hence, I never wear hijab or any headwear since the Quran never mentions that women would cover their hair or heads; likewise, I never find in the Quran how to pray; I never perform the so-called five daily prayers; I do believe that prayers means supplications (and glorification of the Holy Name of Allah) I pronounce in silence within my heart/soul, while sitting in my chair or in bed, to address the Almighty Lord God directly in any ways I like within my private relation with Him in the times specified in the Quran: by night and at dawn before sunrise.........I do believe myself to be a Quranist young woman; I never believe in hadiths and fiqh; I cannot accept (as part of Islam) anything never found in the Quran............I'd like you, if you please, to create an account for me on your website.................  … Thank you  …

Answer:

We will not create an account for you since you deny the five obligatory daily prayers. Of course, there are no hijab/veil and niqab (i.e., face-covering full-veil) in True Islam (i.e., Quranism). We desire that you would watch our YouTube videos about women's dress code (and wearing ornaments) within Quranism. We usually never respond to questions sent to us by those who deny the five daily prayers; they are NOT Quranists however hard they claim to be; yet, we feel sorry for you, our daughter, and we would like to advise you to watch our YouTube videos about prayers and to read our book titled (Between the Quranic Prayers of Muslims and the Devilish Prayers of the Muhammadans). Please read more within our website. To deny the five daily prayers and never to perform them is a grave sin committed by impious people deceived by Satan.

Using the Blood of Saddam Hussein as Ink!

Published in June 29, 2020

Question: … Dear Sir, … Recently, I watched on TV an interview with the Sunnite Mufti of Iraq (where I live), and he was asked about if it is true that a copy of the Quran exists in Iraq which is written by the blood of Saddam Hussein and if this is OK within Islam since human blood is considered an impure item as per Sunnite hadiths; the Mufti answered in the affirmative; i.e., such a copy of the Quran exists! He said that during his lifetime, Saddam donated blood bags regularly to serve as an ink to write the entire Quranic text; he said Saddam Hussein did so to please Allah (!). The Mufti said that some chemical substances were added to such blood to turn it into ink and to render it 'pure'! ......... What do you think of such nonsense?! Any comments? … Thank you …

Answer:

Of course, human blood is NOT impure; to think otherwise is the believe in Sunnite myths. The fate of the cursed, self-deified tyrant Saddam Hussein in the Hereafter is Hell. Even after his death, he remains to be among the biggest criminals in the history of our modern era; he committed bloodshed, more often than not, against thousands of innocent people and he tortured and oppressed thousands of people. If such a megalomaniac assumed he would enter into Paradise for having a copy of the Quran written for him using his blood; he was certainly mistaken; he could never have guaranteed Paradise for his soul even if he had tens of copies of the Quran written for him in ink made of gold, blood, or Zamzam-well water. It is impossible for a tyrant like Saddam Hussein, who massacred hundreds of thousands of people, to repent sincerely within any ways deemed acceptable to Allah. The reason: Saddam Hussein could not revive or bring back to life those victims he murdered so that they would pardon him after he would beseech them to forgive him. Besides, sincere repentance requires performing many good deeds to atone for the grave sins and heinous crimes committed by him; he never did so during his lifetime before his death; of course, he would have required so many years to atone and make amends; this was impossible for him. May the Lord God curse him in Hell.

About a Hotel Guide Website

Published in September 18, 2015

Question: … Dear Sir, … I work within a website which is like a guide to hotels worldwide (comparing prices and services...etc.) and advertising within this website is not for free; it's paid, of course........My question is as follows: is my job OK within Quranism even if such hotels include offering wine and providing sex workers, upon request, for hotel guests?......I'm worried that I might be a sinner for guiding others online to hotels which are like brothels!..........What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

Your job is OK; you never participate in promoting wine-drinking or fornication. No one asks you, within your job, to provide wine or sex workers to them. Those sinful ones who desire such activities have several ways to do so away from you; you are never responsible for sins of others or for hotels which promote fornication. You are not responsible for the behavior of others. Of course, based on your type of question, you are a pious person who never likes that illicit sex would spread in any society. We assure you that you are not to blame for anything and that your job is OK within Quranism (i.e., True Islam). May the Lord God bless you.
