The European Union Response to the Arab Spring: A Statesman's Forum with Catherine Ashton

The uprisings in North Africa and the Middle East have created a major challenge for the EU and its new External Action Service. On July 12, the Center on the United States and Europe (CUSE) at Brookings and the Heinrich Boell Foundation hosted EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton for an address on the role of the EU in supporting the Arab Spring.
