Hezbollah's Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah

Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah says Israel's upcoming military war games signal that it fears the Lebanese resistance movement.

The Turning Point 4 maneuvers will begin on Sunday in 68 Israeli cities and towns and will last for a week, Ha'aretz reported.

Addressing the Lebanese on Friday, Nasrallah said, "Don't be afraid from the Israeli military maneuvers." The Israelis "will be taking part in emergency plans because they fear the resistance."

Israel has initiated wars against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006. On both occasions, the regime has met fierce resistance from Hezbollah.

About 1,200 Lebanese, most of whom were civilians, died in the 2006 offensive, in which Israel faced a defeat after 33 days.

The Israeli drills coincide with Lebanon's municipal elections -- which Nasrallah has urged the Lebanese to participate in.

The upcoming war games come after Tel Aviv accused Damascus of supplying Russian-made Scud missiles to Hezbollah.

The governments of Syria and Lebanon, along with Hezbollah, have rejected the allegations as an excuse to launch a new regional war.
