The Prohibition of Performing the Friday Congregational Prayers and Listening to Sermons inside the Harmful Mosques of the Muhammadans
Published in June 8, 2018
Translated by: Ahmed Fathy
This is a very serious issue; the Quran commands real monotheistic believers to avoid harmful mosques; the details of this topic are discussed in the points below.
Firstly: harmful mosques within our modern era:
1- God says in the Quran: "O you who believe! When the call is made for prayer on Congregation Day, hasten to the remembrance of God, and drop all business. That is better for you, if you only knew. " (62:9). Those believers who enter into mosques in order to perform the Friday Congregational Prayers at noon should hear only the remembrance of God; not the remembrance/praise of mortals. Friday sermons worldwide in the harmful mosques of the Muhammadans contain notions that contradict God's Word, the Quran, and praises/glorification of mortals besides God; this is sheer polytheism.
2- Friday sermons during Muhammad's lifetime (he led the Friday Congregational Prayers as an imam at least 500 times) consisted only of his reciting/reading aloud Quranic verses to the congregations; this is why no one dared to ascribe to Muhammad any fabricated short or long speeches to be deemed as Friday sermons.
2/1: Sadly, Friday sermons during the Umayyad Era, and onwards, were turned into a political propaganda tool; e.g., the Umayyads appointed imams within all mosques in all conquered countries of the Arab empire to curse Ali Ibn Abou Talib and to call him (Abou Turab); i.e., the father of dust; or the dusty/unclean/dirty man. Those novices among non-Arabs who embraced the Sunnite religion (while assuming as if it were Islam) kept this habit in all mosques during Friday sermons until the Abbasids stopped this habit. At one time, the dwellers of a city known as Harran (now in modern Turkey) kept arguing (in vain) with the Abbasid governor to be allowed to continue cursing Ali in their sermons so that their Friday Congregational Prayers would be deemed acceptable by the Lord God, as per their beliefs! Of course, the Abbasid followed the footsteps of their predecessors, the Umayyads, in turning Friday sermons into a political propaganda tool to praise/laud the Abbasids and their ancestors (the paternal uncle of Muhammad, Abbas, and his progeny who begot the members of the Abbasid dynasty). The Shiite Fatimids followed the footsteps of their predecessors, the Abbasids, in turning Friday sermons into a political propaganda tool to praise/laud the deified Ali and his progeny, the assumed ancestry of the Fatimids. Thus, all political messages of caliphs/rulers were passed to the subjects through the Friday sermons; the Muhammadans inherited and kept (to this day!) the habit of supplicating to God for the sake of rulers/sultans and deified caliphs while invoking God's wrath against infidels (i.e., all those deemed as non-Muslims!); within the Ottoman Era, Friday sermons contained the obligatory element of supplicating to God for the sake of lending victory to sultans in their political and military endeavors and invoking God's wrath against infidels to be defeated and massacred so that 'Muslims' would inherit their women (as female slaves for sexual use!) and their money, stretches of land, and possessions (as spoils of war!).
2/2: During the Second Abbasid Era, mosques of Iraq were ideological centers to propagate political and religious views of Sunnites and Shiites; imams of both sides incited sectarian violence and fighting; in our modern times, the harmful mosques of the Muhammadans continue to play this role in many countries; terrorists sometimes blow up mosques of their foes. Until now, Friday sermons in many mosques praise presidents/kings and supplicate to God for their sake; imams, preachers, and sermonizers spread lies and falsehoods in their sermons; i.e., hadiths and narratives deemed by them as part of Islam. Hence, they misguide the masses and they spread the ideology of bloodshed, aggression, and violence under the pretext of fighting infidels; this is why religious terrorism by Shiites and Wahabi Sunnites is still alive, with hundreds of victims annually worldwide losing their lives within suicide bombings.
3- The mosques of the Muhammadans of today are more harmful than the ones of the past; their sermons spread more lies/falsehoods (i.e., hadiths and deification of mortals) in the name of Islam to distort its image and to repel people away from the Truth and many of such sermons urge violence, bloodshed and sectarian strife. This has intensified in comparison to the mosques of the Middle-Ages. The very first harmful mosque was erected/established/structured in Yathreb by the hypocrites during Muhammad's lifetime; we will compare and contrast it with the harmful ones built by the Muhammadans of today: "Then there are those who establish a harmful mosque, and disbelief, and disunity among the believers, and as an outpost for those who fight God and His Messenger. They will swear: "Our intentions are nothing but good." But God bears witness that they are liars. Do not stand in it, ever. A mosque founded upon piety from the first day is worthier of your standing in it. In it are men who love to be purified. God loves those who purify themselves. Is he who founds his structure upon piety and acceptance from God better, or he who founds his structure on the brink of a cliff that is about to tumble, so it tumbles with him into the Fire of Hell? God does not guide the unjust people. The structure which they built will remain questionable in their hearts, until their hearts are stopped. God is Knowing and Wise." (9:107-110). Let us write down the following notes about this Quranic context.
3/1: This harmful mosque of Yathreb built during Muhammad's lifetime caused harm only by conspiring in secret against Islam/the Quran, Muhammad, and believers; overtly, the hypocrites of this harmful mosque kept the pretense of pertaining to Islam; Muhammad was deceived initially as he performed prayer there until God has commanded him to avoid such a harmful mosque. In contrast, those who control the harmful mosques of our modern era are very vociferous in spreading lies and falsehoods, inciting violence and acts of aggression, and collecting ill-gotten money by deceit.
3/2: The harmful mosque of Yathreb did not result in bloodshed; in contrast, those who control the harmful mosques of our modern era are urging others to turn themselves into terrorists and aggressors; bloodbaths ensued because of such harmful mosques to today worldwide. Even some of the harmful mosques of today of the Muhammadans who claim overtly to be 'moderates' are propagating hadiths that urge violence and terrorism as well as putting 'infidels'/renegades/apostates (i.e., all those deemed as non-Muslims!) to death!
3/3: The hypocrites among the companions of Muhammad used to swear in God's name in vain (i.e., perjury) that they intended no harm or conspiring at all; God bears witness against them in the Quran that they are inveterate liars "...But God bears witness that they are liars." (9:107); they knew they were Quran-haters who aimed to harm and to contradict Islam. In contrast, imams of the modern-day harmful mosques of the Muhammadans commit their sins of inciting aggression and spreading lies and falsehoods in their sermons while assuming they are representing 'Islam' or talking in the name of the Lord God!
3/4: God has commanded Muhammad to avoid this harmful mosque of Yathreb: "Do not stand in it, ever..." (9:108). This harmful mosque of Yathreb caused less harm when compared to the harmful mosques of today established by the Muhammadans; therefore, real, pious monotheists within our fellow Quranists must avoid entering into all harmful mosques of today controlled by the Muhammadans (i.e., Sufis, Shiites, and Sunnites/Wahabis); besides, it is very sinful within Islam to hear and listen to sermons containing falsehoods/lies ascribed to God's Religion.
Secondly: bearing responsibility for what we hear and for things to which we intentionally listen:
Most people are heedless of the fact that on the Last Day, each soul will be held responsible not only for its deeds/words but also for what it has heard and listened to during the test of its life-duration on earth: "And do not occupy yourself with what you have no knowledge of. The hearing, and the sight, and the heart - about all these one will be questioned." (17:36). We must apply this verse by never listening to balderdash and nonsense of the earthly, man-made, fabricated religions of the Muhammadans in their sermons, meetings, gatherings, forums, etc. We provide some points below to exemplify and illustrate this topic.
1- The Meccan polytheists of the Qorayish tribe held councils/meetings to ridicule and argue against Quranic verses; Muhammad has been commanded twice in the Quran to stop attending such councils/meetings: "So leave them to blunder and play, until they encounter their Day which they are promised." (43:83 + 70:42). When Muhammad forgot this command momentarily, he has been reminded of it in the Quran while being rebuked as he must apply 17:36, of course, and he applied it later on and he obeyed he commands of his Lord God: "When you encounter those who gossip about Our Verses, turn away from them, until they engage in another topic. But should Satan make you forget, do not sit after the recollection with the unjust ones people. The righteous ones are in no way accountable for them; it is only a Reminder, that they may be among the pious ones. So leave alone those who take their religion for play and pastime, and whom the worldly life has deceived. But remind with it, lest a soul becomes damned on account of what it has earned. It has no ally or intercessor besides God. Even if it offers every equivalent, none will be accepted from it. These are the ones who are delivered to perdition by their actions. They will have a drink of scalding water, and a painful torment, because they used to disbelieve." (6:68-70). Some of the believers during Muhammad's lifetime used to attend such councils/meetings of the Meccan polytheists who argued against God's Verses while seeking to undermine and ridicule them; God has reproached and threatened them severely in the Quran within this direct mode of address: "He has revealed to you in the Book that when you hear God's Verses being rejected, or ridiculed, do not sit with them until they engage in some other subject. Otherwise, you would be like them. God will gather the hypocrites and the disbelievers, into Hell, altogether." (4:140). Thus, they should have adhered to the verse 17:36 if they had desired real repentance.
2- Of course, we have proven in our book titled "The Quran: Sufficient as a Source of Islamic Legislation" (found in English on this link:http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=92) that Aisha, one of Muhammad's wives, has nothing to do with the incident mentioned in the verses 24:11-18 when the impecunious female immigrants inside Yathreb were accused by disbelieving hypocrites of engaging into sexual activities for money. Let us focus on the issue of being responsible for what one is hearing or listening to as one must avoid attending speeches/discourses of slander and those of religious balderdash and nonsense uttered by polytheists and disbelievers.
2/1: Those who hear slanders must disown and refuse to accept such lies and unproved/groundless accusations: "Why, when you heard about it, the believing men and women did not think well of one another, and say, "This is an obvious lie"?" (24:12); "When you heard it, you should have said, "It is not for us to repeat this. By Your glory, this is a serious slander."" (24:16).
2/2: Hence, spreading rumors after hearing them is to participate in committing grave sins: "When you rumored it with your tongues, and spoke with your mouths what you had no knowledge of, and you considered it trivial; but according to God, it is serious and grave." (24:15).
2/3: Within the same context, God says the following: "God cautions you never to return to the like of it, if you are believers. God explains the Verses to you. God is Knowing and Wise." (24:17-18); we see here that God warns severely against this grave sin of slandering others and ascribing falsehoods to them; let alone attributing lies and falsehood to the Dominant Lord God and to His Religion.
2/4: Would those who wish to attend Friday sermons inside harmful mosques of the Muhammadans dare to refute and protest against the lies/falsehoods they hear? Sunnite authors have fabricated a hadith about never to speak while sermons are being delivered as this is deemed 'sinful'; the duty of the congregations, then, is only to listen attentively to sermons! This silly hadith aims to prevent anyone from protesting against the nonsense, myths, and balderdash they hear inside mosques.
3- We remember that after our getting released from prison in Egypt in 1987, some of our fellow Quranists who were incarcerated along with our person decided to deliver Friday sermons without attacking/criticizing hadiths so as to avoid being persecuted and incarcerated once more by the Mubarak regime (which sought to please the KSA!). Those Quranists made their sermons confined to reading some of the Quranic verses aloud in the microphones to the congregations. Yet, the authorities at the time adamantly refused to allow such Quranist sermons and imposed on Quranist sermonizers to choose either to quote hadiths in their sermons or to stop delivering Friday sermons in Egyptian mosques.
3/1: Of course, the devilish hadiths/fabrications of Satan are the chief element of the earthly, man-made religions of the Muhammadans; their imams/sermonizers vomit such lies/falsehoods in Friday sermons in all mosques into the ears of listeners and also anytime, elsewhere, and too often; they are enemies of Muhammad as we infer from these verses: "Likewise, We have assigned for every prophet an enemy - human and jinn devils - inspiring one another with fancy words in order to deceive. But had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. So leave them to their fabrications. So that the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter may listen to it, and be content with it, and that they may perpetrate whatever they perpetrate." (6:112-113).
3/2: The verse 6:113 contains the idea of listening attentively to falsehoods and fabrications like hadiths; the polytheists listen to them with all their ears, souls, minds, and hearts while believing in them; this leads them to commit grave sins; e.g., suicide bombings and terrorists attacks to enter into the Paradise of houris and endless sex! Other disobedient but peaceful ones will go on sinning while assuming to get away with it by virtue of hadiths of the so-called intercession and getting out of Hell! For more details about intercession, see our book (in English) titled "Intercession between Islam and the Muhammadans" (found on this link: http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=119). Hence, sermons of harmful mosques encourage them ignorant masses to commit more grave and small sins while 'enjoying' a false sense of impunity and deliverance/absolution.
3/3: This is why in the social environment within the countries of the Muhammadans we notice that high rates of corruption and crimes that involve bloodshed go hand in hand with high rates of attendance of Friday sermons; imams/clergymen of the Muhammadans who appear on TV and within cyberspace are stars who compete for stature, fame, and money like belly-dancers, singers, and actors. The ill-gotten wealth within the bank accounts of the imams/clergymen of the Muhammadans are incessantly growing while the moralistic level of the Muhammadans in general sinks more into the lowest depths with the passage of time.
4- The Quran repeats the fact that misguided, sinful, immoral, disbelieving ones are often addicted to listening to lies and falsehoods in which they believe and they spread them intentionally; e.g., this applied to some of those who were among Muhammad's contemporaries as we infer from these verses: "O Messenger! Do not let those who are quick to disbelief grieve you - from among those who say with their mouths, "We believe," but their hearts do not believe; and from among the Jews - listeners to lies, listeners to other people who did not come to you. They distort words from their places, and they say, "If you are given this, accept it; but if you are not given it, beware." Whomever God has willed to divert, you have nothing for him from God. Those are they whose hearts God does not intend to purify. For them is disgrace in this world, and for them is a great torment in the Hereafter. Listeners to falsehoods, consumers of illicit money..." (5:41-42).
5- The Yathreb hypocrites during Muhammad's lifetime used to have an audience from among the believers; listening to lies of hypocrites about the Quranic verses is a sin committed by these believers: "...and they would have spread rumors in your midst, trying to sow discord among you. Some of you are avid listeners to them. God is Aware of the unjust ones." (9:47); this means that the unjust ones here are those speakers of blasphemies and those listeners who heard them attentively and intentionally.
6- Many other Quranic commands are repeated about avoiding those who ridicule and argue against God's Verses and seek to undermine them in order to repel people away from God's Path: the Quran.
6/1: God has said the following to Muhammad about those sinful ones among the People of the Book in Arabia who ridiculed and argued against God's Scriptures: "They do not value God as He should be valued, when they say, "God did not reveal anything to any human being." Say, "Who revealed the Scripture which Moses brought - a light and guidance for humanity?" You put it on scrolls, displaying them, yet concealing much. And you were taught what you did not know - neither you, nor your ancestors. Say, "God;" then leave them toying away in their speculation." (6:91).
6/2: God has commanded Muhammad to avoid such slanderers among the Quran-hating polytheists: "Follow what was revealed to you from your Lord. There is no God but He. And turn away from the polytheists." (6:106); "Be tolerant...and avoid the ignorant ones." (7:199); "So proclaim openly what you are commanded, and turn away from the polytheists." (15:94); "So turn away from them, and wait. They too are waiting." (32:30); "So avoid him who has turned away from Our Remembrance, and desires nothing but the present life." (53:29); this means never to listen to them and never to attend their meetings, gathering, forums, sermons, councils, etc.
6/3: The above commands that addressed to Muhammad are also addressed to all Quran-believing people in all eras; yet, the following Quranic commands are addressed to monotheistic believers in particular.
6/3/1: The description of qualities of winners among believers on the Last Day include the following: "Those who avoid nonsense." (23:3). Avoiding nonsense in religion includes never to attend the meetings, gathering, forums, sermons, councils, etc. of the polytheistic Muhammadans as they talk about lies/fabrications which they ascribe to the Lord God and to His Religion.
6/3/2: The description of qualities of the servants of the Lord God include the following: "And those who do not attend words of falsehood when uttered, and when they come across nonsense, they move away with dignity." (25:72). This means never to attend the sermons of the polytheistic Muhammadans inside their harmful mosques as they talk about Satanist/devilish hadiths/lies/fabrications which they attribute to the Lord God and to His Religion.
6/3/3: Real, monotheistic believers must peacefully avoid such polytheistic ignoramuses who ascribe lies and falsehood to God's religion and ridicule His Verses: "And when they hear vain talk, they avoid it, and say, "We have our deeds, and you have your deeds; peace be upon you; we do not desire the ignorant ones."" (28:55).
7- In sum, Quranists must never enter into harmful mosques of the Muhammadans so as to avoid listening to sermons of falsehoods/lies known as hadiths ascribed falsely to Muhammad and unjustly to God's Religion. Human beings are free to choose to (dis)obey and to (dis)believe. One can choose to avoid such harmful mosques or to choose to enter into them; we are to bear in mind that when one listens to polytheistic, blasphemous sermons, one is committing a very grave sin by listening to lies and falsehoods unjustly attributed to the Lord God and to His Religion.
