My Son Goes to Church!

Published in November 2, 2017

Question: … Dear Sir, … I am an Egyptian man who lives in the USA and I am married to a religious Christian woman, the mother of my only son…  I myself have been non-religious or rather a non-practicing Muslim, but I have recently begun to be more religious to teach Islam to my only son. At first, I refused to allow my wife to take my son to church in Sundays; to prevent her influencing him, I made him attend an 'Islamic' school in the summers at a nearby mosque to be taught the Arabic tongue and the Quran … Months later, when my Jewish business partner, Jacob, visited me at home and brought presents to my son, my stubborn son embarrassed me by staying at his room and adamantly refused to meet Jacob, saying to me that the teacher of the 'Islamic' school taught him that Jews are enemies of the Lord God! I tried (in vain) to convince my son that Jacob is a peaceful, kind man of high morals and ethical attitudes. I am very much afraid that my son might turn into an extremist person! An American Muslim friend of mine, who is originally from Pakistan, told me about Qurnaism to which he has converted and advised me to read your great website. After months of reading your archive of books and articles, I can say now that I have found the Islam I have been looking for and that I am a Quranist Muslim now. I made my son leave this Wahabi school of evil notions; but when I allowed my wife to take my son to church, my Pakistani friend warned me that my son might be influenced to convert to Christianity! Of course, I have talked to my son in a simple way about Quranism as true Islam and about the testimony of (There is no God but Allah), and he  performs the five prayers every day, but is it OK to allow him to go to church with his mother?! What do you think?  … Thank you …

Answer:

What is of vital importance is to teach your son the Quranic higher values of peace, tolerance, morals, freedom, justice, human dignity, mercy, charity, kindness, generosity, courage, etc. When he grows up, he will choose his way/religion and be responsible for his choice before Almighty Allah on the Last Day. As a father, you are to guide him during his childhood and adolescence, but he will be responsible for himself once he reaches adulthood. Some sons/fathers are believers and their sons/fathers are non-believers; for instance, Noah was a believer and his drowned son was a non-believer; Abraham was a believer and his father was a non-believer. Many of the paternal uncles of Muhammad disbelieved in the Quran. God has said to Muhammad: "You cannot guide whom you love..." (28:56). Guidance is a personal, individual responsibility and a decision that one may or may not take. Be a good role-model to your son in applying the Quranic higher values.

A Scoundrel!

Published in November 3, 2017

Question: …  Dear Sir, … My late neighbor and friend died, and I care for his son, a young man in his twenties, as if he were my own son, but I am fed up with his greedy, base, and mean nature; he is a real scoundrel! In fact, he is too pampered and keeps demanding large sums of money from me, and he does not work. When I acted as a mediator to get him a job he did not deserve, this good-for-nothing lazy man lost it within one month as he got fired! I have pardoned him many times when he talked in a rude manner to me; the last straw was that I gave him a sum to deliver to a fellow merchant who is a friend of mine, but this young scoundrel took the sum for himself and he had the nerve to tell me so nonchalantly!  This young man's relatives never talk to him at all and severed their relations with him; shall I do the same and never accept his apologies anymore?! What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

In fact, this vile young man has made use of your generosity way too much; do not give anything to him and never talk to him; your charity and zakat money should go to those who need it more than such a bad person, and he has no right to abuse you in such a way or to demand anything further from you.

God Is The Pardoner

Question: …  Dear Sir, …  Within one Ramadan years ago, I misunderstood a certain Quranic verse and I thought that I can eat and drink until daylight appears and not to stop once I hear the Azan for dawn prayers; now, I am convinced that the right thing is to stop eating once I hear the Azan for dawn prayers… Is my fasting in that particular Ramadan is wrong? Must I repeat it or atone for it?! what do you think … Thank you …

Answer:

You have been mistaken unintentionally; God judges the sins only when committed intentionally and on purpose; therefore, you do not have to fast for thirty days at all nor to atone for anything. God does not burden us beyond our capacity. May God bless and forgive you, dear brother.

My Wife Steals My Money!

Published in November 3, 2017

Question: … Dear Sir, … I am a wealthy businessman who devote the larger part of my money to my divorcée (who is also my paternal uncle's daughter) and my three sons and two daughters, so as not to deprive them of anything and I am now married to a young woman who comes from a poor background … Recently, I have noticed that sums of money disappear frequently (at least ten times!) from my chamber, and then, days later, my wife would give me the lost sums and tell me she found them accidentally and that I am absent-minded! I grew suspicious of her, and one day, I caught her red- handed as she was stealing the money form my chamber! She screamed, wept and cried bitterly and insisted that we should get divorced, but I calmed her down and told her to stop such child playing of hiding sums of money and then to return them to me and she never told me why she has done that! She is very young and she has not got pregnant yet but I do not care about having another baby; I know she loves me as much as I love her, but I am confused by her behavior, especially that I am older than her by many years. Shall I divorce her or just punish and/or beat her up?! I do not know why she is unhappy though she loves me?! She does want to talk about this either! Any advice?! …Thank you …

Answer:

She is not a thief; she loves you and tries to get your full, undivided attention so that you care more for her; she is frustrated because she is not a mother yet. She may feel jealous because of your spending on  your children and divorcée; maybe she is afraid you might divorce her and to remarry the mother of your children. She desires to see your happiness when she gives you something you have lost. It seems that you neglect her too much or do not devote more time to her; she is not a poor woman: her financial status is yours: she is rich/poor only if you are so, since she does not work or have any money of her own. Please show tender and loving care to your wife; there is nothing in life more beautiful to any man than to be loved by his wife; your wife is a treasure, so please try to please her as she is keen to please you.

Singing the Quran!

Published in November 4, 2017

Question: … Dear Sir, … I am a young woman in my late twenties and I seek to be a good Quranist  … Is it OK to follow intonation rules of recitation of the Quran in groups within mosques? … I currently attend such sessions with other young women in the grand mosque of the city where I live; is it sinful to read the Quran that way like Sunnites?  … Thank you …

Answer:

We have said before that singing the Quran that way is a grave sin and an insult to God and His Word; this is because singing it must diver the mind away from pondering the Quranic verses as one focuses on singing and intonations like notes of music. Please read the Quran reverently with your eyes and mind, not necessarily by your voice and lips. In fact, turning an act of worship into a jest and playful activity is a grave sin typical of disbelievers; do not attend such sessions (in mosques or elsewhere) ever again.

France As An Enemy!

Published in November 4, 2017

Question: … Dear Sir, … I live in a north African country that used to be occupied by France. France is still interfering in the political life and the economy of my country while supporting tyrannical rulers; is France an enemy that fights my country or not?! What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

The first and biggest real enemies are tyrants who humiliate and rob the nations while prostrating before the West powers.

Is Love Forbidden?

Published in November 4, 2017

Question:  … Dear Sir, … Is love between two persons forbidden in Islam? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

This depends on what you mean by the word (love); what is forbidden is adultery/fornication. Thus, physical love (i.e., having sex) within extramarital relations is forbidden in Islam and so are homosexual and lesbian sexual relations. Love or admiration which is devoid of carnal lusts is OK as long as it does not lead to fornication. The only physical love (i.e., having sex) permitted in Islam is between a husband and his wife. Thus, you cannot make love (i.e., to have sex) with any woman but your own legal wife.

Listening to Falsehoods

Published in November 5, 2017

Question: … Dear Sir, … I am a Quranist, but I ask you about the reason behind your view that I should not hear Friday sermons or even pray in any mosques since I do not believe in hadiths and fiqh anyway. I love congregational prayers and I feel I'm missing it since I no longer enter mosques and perform Friday noon prayers at home! … Thank you …

Answer:

This verse is the reason and basis of our view that no Quranists are to enter into Sunnite, Shiite, and Sufi mosques: "...The hearing, and the sight, and the brains-all these will be questioned." (17:36). Thus, you are responsible for what you hear and see (face to face, or via TV sets or PC). Besides, a true believer must never attend gatherings where the Quran is being ridiculed, misinterpreted, or insulted. Hence, you are never to listen to sermons of the Muhammadans who spread falsehoods and polytheistic notions of deifying mortals, as they repel others away from God's Path: the Quran.

Forbidden Questions

Published in November 5, 2017

Question: … Dear Sir, … God says in the Quran: "O you who believe! Do not ask about things that would trouble you if disclosed to you. But if you were to ask about them while the Quran is being revealed, they will become obvious to you. God forgives that. God is Forgiving and Clement." (5:101) … What are the forbidden questions or types of things/topics/issues abut which one cannot pose questions? Then why in 5:101 we read that the Quran may show such issues later during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

We tend to think that polytheists in Mecca at the time asked for a miracle or a tangible sign instead of the Quran which is Islam's miracle until the end of days. God in many verses refuses to make Muhammad work miracles before their eyes while asserting that the Quran is an enough miracle in itself. Some disbelievers among the People of the Book who rejected the Quran asked Muhammad for a miracle and urged others to demand this from him: "The People of the Scripture challenge you to bring down to them a book from the sky. They had asked Moses for something even greater. They said, "Show us God plainly." The thunderbolt struck them for their wickedness. Then they took the calf for worship, even after the clear proofs had come to them. Yet We pardoned that, and We gave Moses a clear authority." (4:153); "It is never the wish of the disbelievers from among the People of the Book, nor of the polytheists, that any good should be sent down to you from your Lord. But God chooses for His mercy whomever He wills. God is Possessor of Sublime Grace. We never nullify a verse, nor cause it to be forgotten, unless We bring one better than it, or similar to it. Do you not know that God is capable of all things? Do you not know that to God belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and that apart from God you have no ally or helper? Or do you want to question your Messenger as Moses was questioned before? Whoever exchanges faith for disbelief has strayed from the right path. Many of the People of the Book wish to turn you back into unbelievers after you have believed, out of envy on their part, after the Truth has become clear to them. But pardon and overlook, until God brings His command. God has power over all things." (2:105-109); "O you who believe! Do not ask about things that would trouble you if disclosed to you. But if you were to ask about them while the Quran is being revealed, they will become obvious to you. God forgives that. God is Forgiving and Clement. A people before you asked about them, but then came to reject them." (5:101-102). We tend to think that 5:102 refers to the fact that ancient nations asked for miracles from God and then rejected them and insist on their disbelief.

Villages and Towns

Published in November 6, 2017

Question: …  Dear Sir, … Why does the Quran use the terms ''village(s)'' and ''town(s)'' in some verses? … Thank you …

Nonsensical Debates

Published in November 6, 2017

Question: …  Dear Sir, … I am puzzled by some articles by some Arab writers and linguists who infer strange ideas about the usage of singular, dual, and plural forms of Arabic nouns in the Quranic text; among such strange ideas are the following........ What do you think?! … Thank you …

Answer:

This is utter nonsense; we have mentioned before that it is very wrong to use rules of Arabic grammar (invented in the Abbasid Era) to interpret Quranic verses revealed two hundred years before grammar books appeared. The Quranic text has its unique Arabic tongue; Quranist researchers seek to know and ponder the frequent Quranic terminology without useless debates about grammatical or syntactical structures of Quranic verses. The Quran is made clear to understand and remember; it is futile to introduce endless nonsensical debates that create needless convolutions and complications.

Spread of Divorce Cases

Published in November 6, 2017

Question: … Dear Sir,  … Rates of divorce occurrences in Egypt have increased very much nowadays; within trying to explain this social phenomenon, newspapers offer nothing but political and economic reasons which are never convincing to me … Could you analyze this phenomenon away from sociological studies within a Quranist viewpoint? … Thank you …

Answer:

The Quranic sharia laws of Islam include verses about conjugal life and rights of women, disregarded by the Sunnite sharia laws applied in Egypt. This includes the catastrophe of the so-called verbal divorce without witnesses in the Sunnite laws that contradict the Quran. Please read our article (in English) titled "Contradictions in Divorce Legislations between The Quran and The Sunnite Jurisprudence" found on the following link: http://www.ahl-alquran.com/English/show_article.php?main_id=15977. Thus, problems in Egypt are mainly due to the lack of direct democracy of Islamic Shura consultation since the dictatorship of the military rule since 1952. In fact, Islamic/Quranic sharia laws are never known or applied in Egypt since the Arab conquest until now; we refer you to our book (in English) titled "The Character of Egypt after the Arab Conquest", found on the following link:http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=96. In sum, the Egyptians suffer military rule of tyranny plus the tyranny of Wahabi sharia and this state of affairs has led to the loss of morals and ethical attitudes; oppressed men find no way to vent their frustrations except by quarreling with their wives; they sometimes torment their wives in the figurative sense of the term, and such tensions would complicate troubles and lead to separation and divorce. We have nothing more to say here except imploring Almighty God to save Egypt and its people and spare them any imminent dangers that loom in the horizon.

A Comment from Mr. Abdullah

Published in November 7, 2017

Question: … Dear Sir, … I'd like to add this comment: if it had not been for the immoral, criminal, sinning caliphs, people would have embraced to real Islam (i.e., the Quran) in multitudes on their own accord within freedom and love … Pilgrimage is ordained by God to all people, regardless of their creeds, to learn peace, security, cooperation and coexistence as higher Islamic values of the Quran; people have no right to question one another's faiths inside the hearts, as this mission pertains to God only on the Last Day … Thank you …

Nonsense of Amateur Writers

Published in November 7, 2017

Question: …  Dear Sir, … Some writers and researchers in the West like Mr. ..... and Mrs. ..... assert within their research findings that the origin or the birth-place of Islam might have been the North-West of Arabia and not in Mecca… What do you think?! … Thank you …

Answer:

We never heard of such persons and their findings; yet, we refuse to accept such nonsense of amateur writers as scientific facts. Such people will never believe that Islam is God's message and religion that descended upon all prophets/messengers from Adam to Noah to Muhammad. Such amateur 'researchers' never know about the Quran and Islam in the first palace; their 'findings' depend on archeological projects to infer historical 'facts'; this is done at random and is never 100% authentic or true; we have refuted and debunked such methodology of getting 'documented' historical facts in the annex (and other chapters) of our book titled "Egypt in the Holy Quran", found in English on this following link: http://www.ahl-alquran.com/arabic/book_main.php?main_id=97

Hypocrites of the Muhammadans

Published in November 7, 2017

Question: … Dear Sir, … I've watched a video of some Sunnites who pray in public in a street in a French city instead of performing congregational prayers inside the mosque … Some French citizens refuse such invasion of their street; are they right? Do Sunnites, or any other followers of any sect, have the right to pray in the street? What do you think? … Thank you …

Answer:

These Muhammadans are in the wrong, of course. Such ostentatious behavior is part of hypocrisy. We tend to think that those Sunnites do not intend to attain piety and pray in the fear of the Almighty Lord God; rather, they mean to show off their prayers in defiance of the authorities of this West country to challenge the citizens, who have every right to complain and to get angry. Why do not those Sunnites pray inside their mosque?! Why do they seek to draw much attention and disturb the peace of the street? Every cult and sect has its own house of worship everywhere where people pray in peace. Thus, such act of those Sunnites in France is never part of Islam; they are hypocrites who manipulate Islamic prayers as a tool to provoke and tease non-Sunnites; therefore, their prayers in public will never be accepted by God Who will penalized hypocrites in Hell unless they repent before they die. It is very insulting to Islam to be misused in such a manner to provoke the fury of others. We support the French citizens in their complain and we blame those hypocritical Sunnites for disturbing the peace in that street for no apparent acceptable  reason.

When Is God's Victory?

Published in November 8, 2017

Question: … Dear Sir, … Who are the people meant by the verse 2:214? … what does the phrase (when is God's victory?) in 2:214 mean? … Thank you …

Answer:

God says in the Quran: "Or do you expect to enter Paradise before the example of those who came before you had reached you? Adversity and hardship had afflicted them, and they were so shaken up, that the Messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is God's victory?" Indeed, God's victory is near." (2:214). God ordained fighting on the Israelites after the death of Moses, as we know from 9:111 and also within the Quranic story of David, Talut, and Jalut in 2:236-251 and within the Quranic story of Jesus in 61:14. God promises Paradise for those who strive for His sake (for God's cause; i.e., jihad) within patience, and this was applied by all prophets/messengers and the monotheistic believers with them; and within such a context, they suffered persecution and hardships that they used to ask: (when is God's victory?), and eventually, victory was granted by God to them because of their striving (i.e., jihad), good deeds, and patience. In fact, Quranists must ponder 2:214 deeper and very well while they strive peacefully to spread awareness of Quranism within cyberspace; if Quranists are patient people, their striving will get them victory in this life and Paradise in the Hereafter. We are to bear in mind all the time that all pleasures, blessings, bounties, and bliss in this transient realm of the Earth are not equal to one second inside Paradise, let alone living in Paradise for eternity. Likewise, all pains, torment, trouble, and toil in this transient realm of the Earth are not equal to one second inside Hell, let alone that those who enter into Hell on the Last Day will never get out of it for eternity. This is why God warns real believers in that manner: "O you who believe! Shall I inform you of a trade that will save you from a painful torment? That you believe in God and His messenger, and strive in the cause of God with your possessions and yourselves. That is best for you, if you only knew. He will forgive you your sins; and will admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow, and into beautiful mansions in the Gardens of Eden. That is the great success. And something else you love: support from God, and imminent victory. So give good news to the believers. O you who believe! Be supporters of God, as Jesus son of Mary said to the disciples, "Who are my supporters towards God?" The disciples said, "We are God's supporters." So a group of the Children of Israel believed, while another group disbelieved. We supported those who believed against their foe, so they became victorious." (61:10-14)

Meaning and Application

Published in November 8, 2017

Question: …  Dear Sir, … What is the meaning of the Quranic verse 2:213? Does it apply to us now?! … Thank you …

Answer:

God says in the Quran: "Humanity used to be one community; then God sent the prophets, bringing good news and giving warnings. And He sent down with them the Book, with the Truth, to judge between people regarding their differences. But none differed over it except those who were given it - after the proofs had come to them - out of mutual injustice and tyranny between them. Then God guided those who believed to the truth they had disputed, in accordance with His will. God guides whom He wills to a straight path." (2:213). This means that the human being on Earth were one nation in the ancient past, and they were scattered and spread as their groups roamed the Earth. God has sent prophets and messengers with scriptures so that people use the Truth them to purify their hearts from polytheism and believe in the fact that (There is no God but Allah). Typically, most human beings reject scriptures of God and adhere to falsehoods of their man-made, fabricated, earthly religions within false revelations of Satan, and people usually get divided into sects and denominations. Few people are guided and they adhere to God's Word (the Book or Scripture) and as they seek guidance, God increases their guidance and lead them to the Straight Path. This applies in our modern era to any persons (e.g., Quranists) who follow the Last Message from God (i.e., the Quran) and never adhere to any other books authored by mortals and deemed by some people as 'holy' tomes. The Muhammadans stick to their earthly Sufi, Shiite, and Sunnite religions and place false narratives/hadiths above the Quran itself; this is the worst type of injustice and tyranny. Those who are really Quran-believing Muslims use the Quran as the sole criterion to judge anything and the only source of guidance in Islam. We sincerely hope and implore Almighty God to be among those who are guided to the Straight Path of our Lord God.

Scripture of David

Published in September 25, 2007

Question: …  Dear Sir, … My son asked me about 27:40, as he wondered what is meant by the word (Book) and how this unnamed man in this Quranic story brought the throne of the Queen of Sheba to Solomon … What do you think about 27:40?… Thank you …

Answer:

God says in the Quran: "He said, "O notables, which one of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?" One of the sprites said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your seat. I am strong and reliable enough to do it." He who had knowledge from the Book said, "I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you." And when he saw it settled before him, he said, "This is from the grace of my Lord, to test me, whether I am grateful or ungrateful..." (27:38-40). This is in the context when the throne of the Queen of Sheba brought miraculously to Solomon. The Book mentioned in 27:40 is the Scripture given to David, and it was very special in comparison to God's Scriptures given to other prophets and messengers, as we infer this from the fact that it is mentioned prominently apart from other scriptures in these verses: "We have inspired you, as We had inspired Noah and the prophets after him. And We inspired Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and Jesus, and Job, and Jonah, and Aaron, and Solomon. And We gave David the Book." (4:163); " Your Lord knows well everyone in the heavens and the earth. We have given some prophets advantage over others; and to David We gave the Book." (17:55). This means that this Book given to David was very special and it stands alone as different from other scriptures of God; David used it to know some features metaphysical realm of the future: "We have written in the Book of David, after the Reminder, that the Earth will be inherited by My righteous servants. Indeed, in this is a message for people who worship." (21:105-106) and to have unprecedented signs/miracles never granted by God to anyone else: "We bestowed upon David favor from Us: "O mountains, and birds: echo with him." And We softened iron for him. "Make coats of armor, and measure the links well; and work righteousness. I am Observant of everything you do."" (34:10-11); "...and mention Our servant David, the resourceful. He was obedient. We committed the mountains to glorify with him, in the evening and at daybreak. And the birds, gathered together. All obedient to him. And We strengthened his kingdom, and gave him wisdom and decisive speech." (38:17-20); "...And We subjected the mountains along with David to sing Our praises, and the birds as well-surely We did. And We taught him the making of shields for you, to protect you from your violence. Are you, then, appreciative?" (21:79-80). This means that the Book of David contained a form of high technology and advanced science (never reached by humanity of today) to control the natural elements and to know secrets of nature and the universe, and Solomon was taught like his father David: "And We gave David and Solomon knowledge. They said, "Praise God, who has favored us over many of His believing servants." And Solomon succeeded David. He said, "O people, we were taught the language of birds, and we were given from everything. This is indeed a real blessing."" (27:15-16). This means that the Book of David was inherited by Solomon who passed the tests ordained on him by God and was rewarded by God as he and knowledgeable people during his era managed to use the Book of David to control birds, Jinn, and wind and to neutralize gravity so that the throne of the Queen of Sheba was brought to them in no time (i.e., within light speed) using the knowledge from the Book of David. See 34:12-14, 38:34-39, 21:81-82

For That Reason He Created Them

Published in September 3, 2010

Question: … Dear Sir, … Would you please explain further to me the idea of the reason behind the creation of human beings within the verse 11:119? … Thank you …

Answer:

"Except those on whom your Lord has mercy-for that reason He created them. The Word of your Lord is final: "I will fill Hell with jinn and humans, altogether."" (11:119). The Quranic verses explain and confirm one another; hence, 11:119 is explained further by the fact that God created human beings to test them and this is the reason behind creating death, life, and the universe itself: "It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and His Throne was upon the waters - in order to test you-which of you is best in deeds..." (11:7); "He who created death and life-to test you-as to which of you is best in deeds..." (67:2). Thus, the test of life continues for a limited duration: our lifetime on earth that ends in death. God created human beings free to (dis)obey and to (dis)believe and to choose (mis)guidance: "And say, "The truth is from your Lord. Whoever wills-let him believe. And whoever wills-let him disbelieve"..." (18:29). This means difference is a main features among all humanity as a result of this freedom of thought, action, belief, etc. granted to them by God so that individuals bear full responsibility for their choices and actions when judged by God on the Last Day and to dwell for eternity either in Hell or Paradise as per choices made in the worldly life.

Nightmarish Bridal Night

Published in January 31, 2010

Question: … Dear Sir, … I am a university professor in my fifties and my husband is also a university professor and I would like to share my painful experience as a woman of Upper-Egypt … I cannot forget the painful memory of my bridal night, which was a nightmare! A habit that spread there, and it is against Islam as far as I know and as far as Quranism is concerned, in my village and other villages of Upper-Egypt's country side is that elderly women would witness the eldest woman who would use her finger to break the hymen of the bride and make its blood smear a kerchief, which is to be shown to others in the wedding ceremony, indicating that the bride is a virgin before her husband consummates the marriage … I cannot love or forgive my husband (who is the son of my paternal uncle) because he never interfered to stop such humiliation of my person, though he did not take the side of the elderly ones (i.e., the paternal and maternal aunts and the uncles) in insisting on such humiliation of women … I kept weeping and bleeding all night! Feeling humiliated because I am an educated woman who never would violate religious teachings by pre-marital sex, and I'm still bitter about the fact that my husband did not defend me! … I thought he'd imitate his younger brother who adamantly refused to let this humiliation occur to his wife whom he loves, and after consummating the marriage after allaying her fears, he smeared the  kerchief with hymen blood from the bed itself to please them, without humiliating his dear wife … I'm raising awareness of everyone I know and within my female and male students about such bad habit so that it will end someday … What do you think? …  Thank you

Answer:

We are sorry for postponing our reply, though you have sent this email message many times; we read hundreds of emails daily asking for our fatwas. Of course, such a patriarchal bad habit of Upper-Egypt is against Islam; the Quran stresses the importance of preserving human dignity. God says in the Quran: "Your women are cultivation for you; so approach your cultivation whenever you like, and send ahead for yourselves. And fear God, and know that you will meet Him..." (2:223); this means that a husband should be gentle with his wife and prepare her emotionally, psychologically, physically, and sexually for coitus by foreplay, so that she has her right to feel sexual pleasure as much as he feels it; this is good for both spouses. This is of vital importance in the bridal night, where most virgin women feel extremely worried; a husband must love his bride and satisfy her emotional desires first and show how much he loves her before having sex with her, so that the first bridal night passes without problems or troubles on the psychological, emotional, and physical levels.
