Souad Hosni Is Threatening to Cut our Head Off!

Introduction:

 We apologize for the soul of the late Egyptian mega star and actress Souad Hosni for using her name here; she has nothing to do with the content of this article; we mean to say that some cyberspace anonymous losers adopt pseudonyms to hide behind them like sex workers hiding in niqab, and they send us via email threats and 'funny' messages while thinking that we will never guess their true identities and real names. Since he/she are anonymous and use pen-names, we can choose a name for him/her: Souad Hosni, and we will not grant him/her a surname: Souad Hosni Mubarak, so as not to get involved in political jargon! This anonymous writer Souad Hosni in his email message to us is quoting an article by a writer who dedicates his life to curse and incite against Egyptian Christian Copts, who once before attacked us with an avalanche of verbal abuse like ignorant broads in alleyways of a poor slum, driving us unwillingly to smile. Within such wave of typical and usual death threats and verbal abuse sent to us daily via email, the man we have named Souad Hosni has sent us a death threat while quoting parts of an article of the man who curses Copts, and since this man obsessed with Copts uses a pseudonym, we decided to name him after the late Egyptian actress Marie Mounib. In fact, we never know if the guy Souad Hosni and the guy Marie Mounib is the same person or not, or maybe both are the late Egyptian actress Mimi Shakib! Let's quote the message partially below and then resume our peaceful intellectual reform endeavors.

 (... he is so arrogant that he assumes he owns the absolute truth in everything, as if an unprecedented genius, and he seeks fame at whatever costs, especially by vilifying and abusing the names of hadith narrators and companions of the Prophet Muhammad! ... he is an arch-enemy of Islam and an atheist, and he hates it when anyone disagrees with his views regarding the Quran ... he deceives readers by claiming he debunks myths linked to Islam, while in fact he seeks relentlessly to undermine Islam, and he is using bad language as he lacks manner and upbringing  ... he authored books to undermine prophets of God and he was fired from Al-Azhar University as per article No. 50 in Al-Azhar Law, after getting his PhD degree after some of his students filed a complaint against him as he casts doubts on hadiths and Sunna among other deviant ideas that destroys the very foundations of Islam, and he tendered his resignation once he felt he was about to get fired ... he kept wandering  from one mosque to another in Cairo and major cities in Egypt to spread his venom, and people filed complaints against him in the police stations, and then he was arrested and incarcerated accordingly and he was tried by the judge Saeed Al-Ashmawy, the deviant author who shares a lot of views with Subhy Mansour ... till he managed to flee to the USA in 2001 ...)

Secondly:  different types if expression of one's opinions and Islamic thought:

1- There are Muslims thinkers who reach innovative ideas through ijtihad and new understanding of the Quranic text, but they cannot announce their opinions in public and keep their views to themselves; thus, they suppress the Quranic Truth, and they deserve to be cursed unless they repent and announce the Truth outspokenly and vociferously: "Those who suppress the proofs and the guidance We have revealed, after We have clarified them to humanity in the Scripture - those - God curses them, and the cursers curse them. Except those who repent, and reform, and proclaim. Those - I will accept their repentance. I am the Acceptor of Repentance, the Merciful." (2:159-160). This indicates clearly that there is no medial position or in-between stances in the field of calling and preaching the Quranic Truth; one is either to be outspoken and vociferous in asserting True Islam while being ready to sacrifice anything else, or one would suppress the Truth and be cursed by God unless one repents and announces the Truth before one dies.      

2- There are Muslims thinkers who reach innovative ideas through ijtihad and new understanding of the Quranic text and know quite well that their unprecedented ideas contradict common myths and notions inherited from the ancestors. These thinkers are ready from the very start to face persecution and they never eat their words or change their stances; they are courageous and face people with the Quranic Truth, while fearing no mortals at all, as they fear only our Lord God. This type of thinkers never fear blamers and they never ask for rewards or anything from others; they never impose their thought on anyone and do not care if people hate or believe them. These thinkers never seek worldly transient glory nor wealth or power; they seek only to escape being cursed if they suppress the Truth and they expect reward in the Hereafter from God. this type of thinkers never fears death; each of has his/her death-time predetermined by God; and no one can hasten or delay this timing of one's death. Those thinkers wait for death eagerly and with pleasure to find peace; they have sold and rejected the earthly world to buy and earn the Eternal Life in Paradise, seeking this as the reward from the Lord God for their endeavors and sufferings, finding peace, security, and justice in the Hereafter. This type of thinkers follows the footsteps of God's prophets as preachers of guidance, but they are not infallible persons in their views; if they err, they are quick to admit it courageously and declare their new changed view, while apologizing for their readers. This type of free thinkers bear patiently with smear campaigns, false accusations, and slanders etc. These thinkers have three options to choose from: 1) to raise their voices in protest like wronged parties: "God does not like the public uttering of bad language, unless someone was wronged. God is Hearing and Knowing." (4:148); 2) to seek retribution: "The repayment of a bad action is one equivalent to it..." (42:40); or 3) to pardon other people and seek reward from God: "... But whoever pardons and makes reconciliation, his reward lies with God. He does not love the unjust ones." (42:40). In any case, no one can blame the wronged parties if they defended themselves and sought retribution: "As for those who retaliate after being wronged, there is no blame on them. Blame lies on those who wrong people, and commit aggression in the land without right. These will have a painful punishment. " (42:41-42); but those who pardon others are richly rewarded by God: "But whoever endures patiently and forgives-that is a sign of real resolve." (42:43). Thus, we personally sometimes forgive and sometimes mock our foes, but we never relent or change our stances, and all their death threats make us insist on announcing the Quranic Truth and hoping to die for God's sake.             

3- There are those thinkers and writers who side with the falsehoods and lies, and who combine bad language with aggression, injustice, and lack of principles; instead of telling their readers that they cannot refute Quranism, they slander and threaten us as the pioneer of Quranism, while leveling false accusations against our person. The reason for their stance is that our knowledge exposes their ignorance and their trading with religion and spreading lies in the name of God. Each of such writers/thinkers care very much to preserve their wealth, stature, positions, and authority that can be maintained only by keeping people (or the masses) ignorant of true Islam so that they remain submissive to them and under the control of rulers. Such type of ignoramuses attempt in vain to refute Quranism by using clichés and hackneyed phrases while curing our person and leveling the same false accusations against us over and over. This type of writers is worse than the cursed suppressors of the Truth, as they not only hide the Truth but they side with and defend falsehoods and misguidance, thus rejecting the Quran for the sake of money and worldly possessions. They misguide and mislead the masses on purpose, and they are foes and enemies of God: "Those who conceal what God revealed in the Book, and exchange it for a small price-those swallow nothing but fire into their bellies. And God will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, and they will have a painful punishment. It is they who exchange guidance for error, and forgiveness for punishment. But why do they insist on the Fire?" (2:174-175). The masses among followers of such clergy will be surprised and shocked a great deal to clergy with them inside Hell, and they will curse these clergymen: "The Day when their faces are flipped into the Fire, they will say, "If only we had obeyed God and obeyed the messenger." And they will say, "Lord, we have obeyed our superiors and our dignitaries, but they led us away from the way. Lord, give them double the punishment, and curse them with a great curse."" (33:66-68).

4- There is a type of writers/thinkers who combine ignorance with cowardice, and they have increased exponentially like epidemics within the cyberspace; they even cannot write one correct phrase in the Arabic language! The internet allows them to hide their names and identifies and to verbally abuse and slander anyone and to send death threats to others while using a pen name and hiding in bed. This is the type of this guy whom we have named Souad Hosni, among other so many guys like Nelly, Marie Mounib, Lebleba, and Naeima Akef! (N.B., they are all Egyptian actresses).   

Thirdly: could threats of this guy Souad Hosni and his likes intimidate us?

1- In our rural village, Abo Harez, in the Egyptian Nile Delta Al-Sharqiyah Governorate, when  we were 15 years old – that is, 46 years ago –   we stood against Sufi sanctified mausoleums worshipped by people there, and we have declared outspokenly and vociferously our stance against such polytheism before members of the powerful family whose members were guardians of such mausoleums, telling them to demolish such signs of paganism; we never feared them despite the fact that we were at the time a very poor orphan.  

2- Growing up, we insisted to research what no one dared to discuss and refute before: Sufism. In our PhD thesis, we have written what we deem as true, and we have proven (using Sufis authoritative books) that Sufism contradicts the Quran, and we never changed our views despite the fact that the head of Al-Azhar at the time was a Sufi man named Dr. Abdel-Haleem Mahmoud. Confrontations and discussions went on for 3 years until we have obtained our PhD degree. They could have punished us by reducing us to a mere scribe and remove our title of assistant professor; they threatened to do this but  we never feared them. They spread rumors that we were funded by 'foreign powers', and this rumor made many Azharite people fear us as they saw we never feared the Vatican-like Azharite clergy and authority, and this fear of us made us be victorious over them eventually.  

3- We never felt afraid to face Sunnite Wahabi terrorists in Al-Azhar University and in all mosques where we preached and sermonized, and even in the low-class Salafists-infected Cairene district where we lived in the 1990s: Al-Matariyya.

3/1: Around our first-floor apartment in Al-Matariyya, Cairo, there were four mosques whose loudspeakers voiced curses against us as a denier of Sunna and hadiths, and we usually heard them while writing in our room, while also seeing bearded protestors making small sit-ins on Fridays before our apartment and shouting at us to fear God! 

3/2: We used to go to the Delta city of Tanta to preach and deliver the Friday sermon to attack Sufism and the Al-Sayed Al-Badawi mausoleum, which is still famous there, after we have authored our book titled "Al-Sayed Al-Badawi between Truth and Myth" in 1982. Guardians of this pagan mausoleum threatened us and told us never to set our foot in Tanta ever again or else, they would kill us; we never heeded their empty threats and continued preaching in one Sunnite mosque of Tanta once a month, defying them and looking at them in the eye.    

3/3: In this Tanta Sunnite mosque, we ridiculed hadiths of Al-Bokhary and refuted the myth of intercession that makes Muhammad as a deity getting sinners out of Hell into Paradise; Sunnites were infuriated and defied us to attend a debate to be held in the same mosque next week, and we agreed to this challenge. Some Quranists advised us not to attend such a debate as we might get killed; but we attended boldly and found in the mosque those Azharite sheikhs who issued fatwas to murder us as an apostate. We were the first person to talk, and we asserted our stance against Al-Bokhary and how those who believe in his book are deniers of the Quran. This led the Sunnite violent masses to attempt to beat us, if it had not been for some noble people who helped us to get out of this mosque in safety. We re-entered this mosque after the violent extremists were expelled, and we insisted to continue our speech uninterrupted. The extremists stood outside, hearing our voice through the microphone, as we quoted Al-Bokhary hadiths that undermine and insult Muhammad, and they listened attentively and they entered the mosque while looking at us calmly and in awe this time. This provoked the ire of Azharite men who could not refute us, and left the mosque in indignation, while we returned home in Cairo feeling victorious.              

3/4: At the History Department, Al-Azhar University, where I worked as an assistant professor, threats by Azharite clergy never ceased; they tried to intimidate us by all penalties possible; eventually, they made us teach at Azharite branch in Tanta, within  weekly lectures, hoping that extremists there would murder us. For one whole year, we went to deliver our lectures in Tanta, calmly and steadily, knowing that they hear us attentively as we refute their hallowed mythology. They were furious and indignant and our steadiness and courage made them afraid of us, as they found us to be fearless. They left us in peace eventually and vanished from our route.        

3/5: Those Azharite foes spread rumors about us all over Tanta so that one Wahabi fanatic might show up and murder us, but this did not occur; it is we that infuriated them the more by delivering sermons in Tanta mosques and debunking Sunnite myths like intercession and infallibility of Muhammad, showing how it is a grave sin against the Quran to deem him as the best of all prophets.    

3/6: So many complaints were filed against our person at Al-Azhar University, and the administration began to threaten and warn us, but we defied them by including Quranist ideas in five books we taught to our students as we used to deliver 21 lectures every week. They suspended us from work and we were interrogated within inquisition-like interrogations. They came to us at home to demand that we step back and reject our stances and apologize in public so that they and we would be spared humiliation and scandal; we adamantly refused and wrote a memo to expose their disbelief and ignorance.    

3/7: We tendered our resignation from Al-Azhar University, but they fired us to avoid being mortified, and we defied them by holding many conferences and roaming mosques of Cairo to preach Quranism as true Islam. We never heeded the threats and warnings of the Egyptian State Security Apparatus men. Eventually, the Mubarak regime, Al-Azhar, the MB, and the Saudi influence were united against us, causing our persecution and incarceration. Each time we would enter, we would win more Quranists who join us in our reform endeavors for true Islam (who now write as pioneers on our website), and the number of our Sunnite foes increased as well who followed us from one mosque to another to watch us closely and attempt to harm us. When the number of Quranists increased, this led Mubarak to imprison and torture them. Each Friday when we would go to a different mosque, we used to look at our sons as way to say good-bye to them, as we never knew if violent terrorist Sunnites would venture to murder us or not.          

3/8: The most dangerous confrontations occurred before our arrest in 1987 as terrorists attempted to murder us; our fellow Quranists collected money to establish a Quranist mosque for us in the middle-class Agouza district, in Giza, Cairo, and Sunnites assaulted the mosque and beat everyone inside so that they distract them to murder us without anyone taking notice. This Egyptian State security Apparatus men helped those Wahabi terrorists, but their conspiracy failed as our fellow Quranists made a human shield around us to get us out of this mosque in safety, and then Sunnites confiscated this mosque to themselves! Later on, some Agouza dwellers asked us to attend a debate with Sunnites who own the mosque now, and the police attendant who watched us 24/7 as per commands from the Egyptian State security Apparatus men warned us not to attend as he feared for our life (as we managed to befriend him and win him to Quranism), but we insisted on going, and the debate turned into a quarrel with penknives and cudgels, and this police attendant managed to save our life as he and his eldest son managed to get us out of this mosque in safety, and even his son was armed by iron chain as he threatened anyone who would come near our person till we left this mosque.       

4- This occurred in the 1980s, and the tragedies we witnessed in the 1990s deserve another lengthy article as we faced the Mubarak regime.

5- The query is posed: could we fear any threats now as we are 60 years old and we long to meet with God after our intellectual peaceful jihad for the sake of Islam? How come that we might fear since we live in safety without six sons and our wife in the USA? After such life experiences, no email death threats might ever intimidate us at all from so many guys like Nelly, Marie Mounib, Lebleba, and Naeima Akef. We never stopped writing daily despite all threats; we nor arrogant or proud; we are merely stating a fact that can be verified by the amount of our archive on our website. No Muslim thinker ever wrote the same quality and quantity of our writings with innovative unprecedented writings. We thank Almighty God for Hi bounty, and we thank our enemies and foes whose presence and challenges made us think and ponder the Quran deeper to reach out for more gems. The more they verbally abused us, the more we write: their bad language will subside and end eventually, while after our death, our writings will live on. We will go on writing till the last day of our life. Eventually, all human beings will stand before the Dominant Lord to judge them on the Last Day, and He will settle the disputes and differences between our person and our unjust foes: "...As for those who do wrong, they will know by what overturning they will be overturned." (26:227). As always, God says nothing but the Truth.
